How I feel about the Planned Limited Face-to-Face Classes

While I was still in senior high school, I was always looking forward to getting to college and what it would be like. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I heard that face-to-face classes would be cancelled due to the pandemic. Online classes will be something completely new to me, since we aren't used to this kind of setting. However, after having taken online education for nearly two years, I have become accustomed and proficient at managing it.

As soon as I was informed there would be limited face-to-face meetings, I felt pleased and delighted. I'm thrilled upon hearing the news because it means I'll be able to explore college life personally instead of virtually.

I'm looking forward to experiencing the university's atmosphere and vibe. It is exciting to finally see my new classmates, teachers, schoolmates, the classroom set up, the cafeteria, and the library. I can't wait for face-to-face classes to begin!

What I miss about Face-to-Face classes

My first thought since the pandemic started is, "Will I survive online learning?".  

Even after two years, it still feels surreal that I haven't seen my friends and classmates at school for so long. Face-to-face classes are quite different from online classes. A face-to-face class will allow you to interact with your classmates, you will be able to learn inside the classroom, as well as see your teacher in front of you.

My best friends from senior high school are shown in the photo above. I consider them as my closest friends in the classroom. What do I miss most about face-to-face classes? Definitely them. All the hangouts we've had, our library stories, mealtimes at the canteen, and walk back home moments that we've shared. I have had comfort and love from them, their presents in times of my downfalls, the challenges we've faced together and the true friendship they've shown me. That's what I've missed the most and it's been a pleasure spending two years with them.

Being surrounded by true friends made me realize how a sense of belonging and purpose can be increased. You are likely to feel happier, less stressed, as well as more confident and more valuable because of it.

Letter to my 10-year-old self

My dear 10-year-old Self,

You'll be glad to hear that everything turns out fine. I just want to let you know that everything seems to be working well for you!

In your young age, you have a strong sense of right and wrong that will become even stronger as you grow older. Stay true to your instincts; keep doing what you feel is right. Consider listening to your own deep feelings instead of other people's perspectives. Your feelings serve as your most trusted guide.

In the coming years, things are about to get quite confusing. Prepare yourself to deal with tough times and downfalls. No matter what happens, never lose sight of the fact that you are a strong, tenacious person.  Keep a positive outlook and realize that you are doing the right thing. No matter how difficult the day is, you are still doing your best to overcome it. Don't miss out on fun while you're still young and not having problems.  However, even though you might not believe it now, you will make a lot of friends, you will have adventures, and you will have a blast!

The last thing I would like to tell you is to cherish and enjoy every moment of your young age and all the happiness you will experience throughout your journey.
