Hope's Facade
Hope is merely,
A false illusion,
Fleeting,
When truths are uncertain,
A facade to cover,
The hole of dreams,
Down the drain.
Unbreakable, this tendency,
To make our minds believe,
That Chance will somehow, someday,
Be our friend,
From days till end,
The wounds never mend,
Only suppressed,
By a lost cause to expend.
So when reality comes,
Hope is lingering,
Final fight,
A surreal daze,
Only to wake up,
Pained and fazed.
