Hey all!

So, today marks about two years since I’ve posted here, the six year (!!) anniversary of this blog’s opening, and by extension, six years since I started roleplaying.

I guess it’s pretty clear I’m moving on from the Pokémon RPC by my lack of posting lol. Idk if it’s permanent, but I think it’s better to make it official than leave everyone hanging. And safe to say, if I haven’t written for him here in two years… It’s time to move on.

I’m going to archive this blog — it’ll still be up for reading and such, but Brett has been moved to mostly Discord ventures.

Cosmiicson still holds a very close place in my heart, but it’s time to end this chapter.

I’m still out and about writing — currently over in the Baldur’s Gate 3 fandom, writing a Tav and having the time of my life. If y’all know my main and want to have a peek at what I’ve been up to, it’s on my blogroll there.

In conclusion, all I can really say is thank you - for letting me into this crazy RPC, for giving Brett a chance, and allowing to meet some of my closest friends.

As an aside, now that the day is here and I just fiddled with settings a bit: the blog username will not change - so all links, mentions, and whatever else won't be broken. The blog will remain live as long as I'm on Tumblr, so feel free to backread to your heart's content.

Also because my brain's a little bastard, so if I change anything permanently it always feels like I might regret it lmao :P

A gasp, hands flapping with excitement, “We could have lil’ caves for them to run between! You’re right! Vega could totally help with that-” he thought about his Trapinch, and her willingness to participate, “Set them up where no one can see them so they just... come out of nowhere.” he snickered.

Four Years, Huh.

Yeah. Four years and a day but shhhh in the RPC.

I know my activity’s been dropping off here as of late, but I just wanted to thank everyone who stuck around the last four years. It really does mean a lot. I didn’t expect to get much traction with my fankid OC, but y’all were so welcoming, and I’ve made friends here that I wouldn’t have otherwise.

So thanks.

Holy shit, is he being serious about this? Admittedly, it’s rather difficult for Saturn to tell, considering Cyrus’ stony demeanour. Are they actually going to do this? What a way to spend a day.

“I bet he’ll just stroke out and die right there in his cell,” Saturn jokes, “do you think we’d get charged for manslaughter? I think they’d probably give us medals.”

Unfortunately, on rethinking his idea, Cyrus hardly believed that he and his commanders could get away with something like this, especially given their past, so no going to prison and finding Charon for them, “I’m sure of it. Unfortunately, I was joking.” he shook his head, “We don’t need a controversy because we killed a man.”

“In other news -” he continued, “How has your work been? Have you made any progress with our energy projects with the Windworks?”

[ So. I finished the postgame for PL:A a hot minute ago, but I just realized I never shared my thoughts. Under the cut! ]

First of all. Fuckin’ bravo to Gamefreak for their first successful twist. Holy shit I did not expect Volo to be a villain right up until we got to the Highlands. I only had doubts once he started acting like a big weirdo ( ie. his “Excited” laugh ) and even then I was like “whatever”. What an amazing post game, and thank god for that adjusted catch ratio because holy shit I did not need Regirock in the Crown Tundra 2. Shoutout to Melli and his “Pesky Croissant.

Second of all. I’ve done some looking around since, and I definitely agree with the common fanon that Volo would become immortal somehow post PL:A. Just from how he talks indicates that that’s his plan, and this being post XY War, there’s certainly ways for him to do so outside of Hisui - not that I could see him staying in Hisui even if there Wasn’t.

This being said. Volo is related to Cynthia. Who is related to Brett.

I’m just saying it’d be real funny if an immortal Volo found out his descendant was now a young emissary of Uxie.

“Yeah, sounds about right.” Amazing, how easily a mood can be brightened by making fun of someone you mutually dislike. He’s a genius. “We should totally do that. Go down to wherever he’s locked up and scare the daylights out of him. I bet Mars and Jupiter would get a kick out of it, too.”

“We should. Paid vacation day for the four of us.” Yes, he was totally going to pay for this. They deserved it. A bit frivolous, perhaps. But worth it. Saturn had a wonderful idea for once.

He nodded, “I’m not sure what he thinks happened to us, but I can’t imagine he figured we’d regroup and start over, much less flourish without him.” Oh, he couldn’t wait to see the old man’s face when he told him.

Commander Saturn:

Holy shit, Cyrus is smiling! If nothing else, it makes Saturn feel a bit better about bringing up the Spear Pillar. Cyrus can’t be too upset if he’s actually smiling.

“Heh, I guess you’re right.” A brief pause. He knows exactly how to lighten the mood. “… You planning on telling Mars and Jupiter? Hell- maybe take a trip down to prison and tell good ol’ Charon? Actually, I wonder if he even knows you’re back- you might just give him a heart attack if you show up!”

Indeed, Cyrus couldn’t be mad for too long at finally getting this off of his chest. It felt nice, in a strange way.

A huff came out of him, “Mars and Jupiter, yes? Charon? If only to give him the heart attack you mentioned.” He actually manages the most unpracticed of laughs, “I don’t doubt he doesn’t really care to keep up with us. Once we were no longer of monetary use, I couldn’t see him bothering.”

A sad, yet unfortunate truth about his former Commander. Why had he hired him again-?

Commander Saturn:

“Well… I sure tried, at least.” And really, that’s all that’s needed, right? Even with Cyrus’ disappearance and Charon’s attempted takeover, he had still held Galactic together, even if just by threads.

The sudden change of topic startles Saturn a bit. “Uh - yeah. Yeah, I think everything’s all good. A-okay.”

“You… don’t need to apologize, though. I’m the one that brought up this clusterfuck, right? If anything, I’m sorry for making you dig it back up.”

“And that’s all they really needed, in the end.” Cyrus spoke to the dead air in front of him, “Just someone to hold them together.” He shook his head. Come on, Cyrus. Pull it together.

He nodded, “Excellent. I’m glad I was able to pull that together for you.” He almost seemed to smile. Yep - that was what was happening! He’s smiling!

A shrug, the smile still on his face, “It’s fine. It was bound to happen, wasn’t it?” It disappeared for a moment, before returning, Cyrus stuffing his hands into the pockets of his dress pants, “Better to get it now, then keep it inside forever, I suppose.”
