FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2996, Cougars Gone Wired

Kendrick Castillo Memorial Tournament

This past weekend, we competed at the Kendrick Castillo Memorial Tournament, the CO offseason competition. We took our main-season bot, VEE-III, and an offseason bot called Peashooter that was a hooded algae shooter. Our main bot finished third as the first pick of the third alliance, and Peashooter won the competition as the third pick of the first alliance!!

A huge shoutout to VEE-III's alliance: Captain: 2083, Blitz Second pick: 3200, Raptacon Backup: 5493, SMAbotics

and to Peashooter's alliance: Captain: 4499, The Highlanders First pick: 4068, Bearbotics Second pick: 4550, Something's Bruin

Hope to win an on-season event this year, hopefully as a captain!! This event was an absolute blast, and both robots played phenomenally. See y'all at some point lol, I'm not exactly posting regularly.

It seems it is time for me to reveal myself from the shroud of obsolescence

Welcome back to FRC season Everyone!

This is slates to be another great year full of what seems to be a lot of pvc scraps and rubber, but hey, we will get through.

Sooner then later I will post a list of all the teams we will for sure interaction with at the two comps we are going to (those being flag staff and Denver) and just off of the top of my admittedly exhausted head we will meet team W.A.R from Nevada the coconuts from who knows were and team paradise from Arizona

Then, from further away, there will be team ghost from the Netherlands and ideer from somewhere in China. idk I'm not gonna drag the list out.

Either way this will hopefully become at least a tich more active soon with updates from the team

kickoff was an absolute blast! the game looks really interesting and there's some cool strategy options. today, we created most of our strategy and decided to ignore algae altogether except for potentially a processor mechanism if we have time, and focus on scoring all levels of coral. the climb is undecided except that we're gonna do some sort of climb, and that will be finalized sometime this week.
