Courfeyrac, with his foot stuck in a chair: You may be wondering, "Courfeyrac, how did you get into this situation?"
Courfeyrac: well guys, Courfeyrac doesn't know either

courf-the-lawstud-ent:
Courfeyrac let out an offended sound. “I do not!” He said, before he smiled. “I’m simply buying their favoritism.” He said with a wink. This was partially true. But it was also a good way to get rid of food when he didn’t feel like eating.
Courfeyrac absently scratched behind a cats ear as he watched. He’d occasionally make comments about a design choice or outfit. His eyes were glued to the television during the elimination but he let out a sigh of relief when one of his favorite team’s made it through. For Courfeyrac, watching fashion was like how others watched sports. He was finally brought out of the show when Combeferre made his announcement. His eyebrows furrowed slightly.
“Hmm? Oh. No no. It’s my turn to clean up the kitchen. Besides you already made dinner.” He said, yawning tiredly at the end. But he stood up and swiped Combeferre’s plate, heading to the kitchen to clean up the mess from the day.
“hey!” Combeferre said as Courfeyrac took his plate. He followed Courgeyrac to the kitchen and put his arm’s around Courf pulling him to his chest. “I said I would do dishes. Heating up left overs is hardly making dinner.” He used one of his hands to grab the plates out of Courf’s hands.
For a brief moment he wanted to relax with Courfeyrac in his arms. It was nice to be so close to a friend. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been so close to someone. Maybe he needed to fire up grindr after all, he didn’t have time for a hook up but if he was this touch starved.
Unfortunately Combeferre’s thoughts were cut short as a few of the cats, Combeferre didn’t see which, decided that both humans going to the kitchen meant it was time for food or maybe even milk. some of them ran under the two as Combeferre was reaching for the plates. Both Combeferre and Courfeyrac topped to the ground.
“Dumb cats.” Combeferre mumbled laughing and letting go of Courf, glad neither of the plates had broken.
Courfeyrac smiled feeling Combeferre’s arms wrap around him. “But you still made it. House rules! Whoever cooks doesn’t clean. Whoever cleans doesn’t cook!” He argued, though he didn’t fight too hard when Combeferre took the plates from him. Whether he didn’t really want to clean or just just wanted to stay in Combeferre’s arms longer, he wouldn’t admit.
Courfeyrac was cuddly and tactile with all his friends. But Combeferre’s hugs were the best. There was no where more at peace Courfeyrac felt than in Comebferre’s arms... but that was just how best friends were, right?
Courfeyrac just barely saw the cats coming and did a fairly good job of avoiding the cats... until he forget Comebferre’s arms were still around him and he was pulled down as well. Courfeyrac sat for a moment looking startled, noodles sliding down his face before laughter broke through him. Courfeyrac wasn’t sure if it was their predicament, how tired he was, or the cats, but he couldn’t stop giggling. Soon tears were forming in his eyes from laughing so hard and he could barely breath.
He started to get his laughter under control but when he turned to face Comebferre he was hit by another wave.
“You- you - the cats.” he barely got out before more laughter consumed him, his face redenning
Courfeyrac: The Lord yeeteth And the Lord yoinketh away.
Combeferre: …
Grantaire: Amen
Courfeyrac: Love is dead and never existed. All he did was betray me as I lay sick and festering. He is the definition of dread.
Enjolras: are you ok?
Courfeyrac: Combeferre stole my fuckign garlic bread
Combeferre: What time is it?
Courfeyrac: I don’t know. Pass me that saxophone and I’ll find out.
Courfeyrac: *blows sax loudly*
Enjolras, from another room: WHO THE FUCK IS PLAYING THE SAXOPHONE AT 2AM?!
Courfeyrac: It’s 2am.
Courfeyrac, throwing his head into Combeferre’s lap and looking up: Ferre, tell me I’m pretty.
Combeferre, lovingly stroking his hair: You’re pretty fucking annoying, that’s what you are.
grantaire narrates all of his painting like bob ross
even when he is alone
he’s like the sad version of bob ross. “now see here, we’re going to use this wider brush to make a little tree. a sad little tree. all trees are sad because humans keep destroying them and they can’t run away. look, it’s bending over like that because it’s filled with the fatalistic knowledge that the planet earth is doomed. now we’ll add some sad little clouds.”
Enjolras is just staring at him from the couch where he was curled up drinking his coffee Just stares and just
“.. Who hurt you.”

Combeferre grinned as Courfeyrac talked. It certainly wasn’t a show he would have picked. But it was one of those things, he would watch anything for Courfeyrac he thought. Well, anything that had him this excited. He settled in to watch, but rolled his eyes as Courfeyrac fed the cats “you spoil them.” he said lightly, he did his fair bit of spoiling as well.
Combeferre mannaged to relax though the rest of the episode, letting himself stay on the couch, all five cats had decided to come sit with them, even after he’d finished eating. It wasn’t until half way though the next episode that he remembered he’d not meant to take such a long break. his hand when to his pocket where his lighter and smokes were but he shook his head,
“I’ve taken too long of a break.” Combeferre announced frowning, he liked sitting here with Courfeyrac, liked spending time with his friend watching people design clothes he didn’t think he would ever even think about wearing. But this essay would wait for no one. Plus he had a few hundred pages of reading to do. He bit his lip before carefully moving the cat on his lap and standing up. “if you’re done I can take your plate I uhhh- I’ll do dishes before I go to bed?”
Courfeyrac let out an offended sound. “I do not!” He said, before he smiled. “I’m simply buying their favoritism.” He said with a wink. This was partially true. But it was also a good way to get rid of food when he didn’t feel like eating.

nathanaelfeuilly:
Feuilly shook his head. He’d not even thought about if anyone would check his rooms for them. His name was on lists of the group, if they’d found those- but otherwise he lived so far away from his friends, he’d forgotten he might be a target. “I haven’t been that way I- I went to Bahorel’s place first even though-” He shook his head again. “but my place is out of the way enough it might be safe for just a bit?” It wasn’t much, just one room a poor excuse of a bed in the corner a table and a chair in the other corner. But it had become home.
Feuilly followed Courfeyrac though the alley listening to him give a run down on their friends. He hadn’t dared think about Enjolras, and couldn’t believe that his place was anything close to safe. It took him a moment to realize that he was waiting to hear about Bahorel and Prouvaire, before it hit him that there was nothing to be heard about them. They’d all heard Prouvaire’s last words, they’d all seen Bahorel’s death. He choked back a sob, trying to stay quite, focusing on the fact that Courfeyrac had said nothing of Combeferre or Enjolras. Had they been lost the same way Bahorel and Prouvaire had been? That could explain why Courfeyrac had not heard from Grantaire.
When they made it though the alley Feuilly blinked, hoping his near sobs had been hidden well enough. He pointed Courfeyrac towards his place, walking slow, not only to accommodate Courfeyrac’s injury, but also, hopefully, keeping them from attracting notice. Still he couldn’t help but pull the brim of his hat down. “It’s a bit of a walk from here.” Feuilly said, “but opposite the directions of those soldiers so, hopefully-” he let his sentence die, hopefully we won’t run in to any more, hopefully we can breath. It seemed like everything they would do for a while would need a bit of hope.
Courfeyrac reached out a hand and gently squeezed Feuilly’s. They had all lost friends, brothers really. But Courfeyrac also know that some had lost more than that, though he hadn’t dared to ever share those thoughts with anyone before. “Oui. If they’re just now getting to my place, yours should be alright for now.” He said quietly.
Courfeyrac heard the slight hitch in Feuilly’s voice and could guess he was experiencing his own grief. He didn’t say anything though. There would be time for that later. Courfeyrac had always feared death. Of course he supported Enjolras and knew he would die for their cause. Courfeyrac had always supported the cause, but the thought of dying had always caused some hesitance. But this, he was starting think this was worse. Not knowing what had become of all his friends. Watching some of his brothers die before his own eyes. Courfeyrac blinked and tore himself away from those thoughts. He needed to stay focused. He had to.
Courfeyrac glanced around the quiet street and let out a quiet breath. He fell into step beside Feuilly and let him lead the way. Courfeyrac reached a hand out and squeezed his shoulder. “It’s alright. Lead the way. It seems pretty quiet. Let’s just seem like we’re on our way home from work. We just need to blend in.” He said, just above a whisper. He did his best to hide the limp. The less people could point out specifically about them the better. Every now and then, Courfeyrac would glance around to be sure they were alright. Thankfully, for the moment, they seemed to be attracting little attention
