Bat Wings - Simblreen Gift #1

Some spoooky bat wings for your vampirically-inclined sims! There are two different versions, one moves in conjunction with the arms of the sim (black in the preview) and one stays stationary (purple in the preview). The ones that are attached to the arms look a little more lively and animated, but if you want to make sure they work with all poses (especially those with hands in front of the body) you can use the static version! Enjoy! :)

PSA - For CAS CC creators: How to make your CC colour wheel compatible.

This tutorial is a WIP and may change. All of this stuff is really new so expect some bumps along the way, and if you have any issues with this please let me know so I can improve the tutorial!

Before we start, this tutorial only shows you how to add one colour wheel swatch to your CC (although you could add as many as you want). The reasons I’m not showing you how to make all the swatches compatible is because…

Pancake is already working on a converter program for this.

The file size would double (LRLE is around 2x the file size of RLE2) - this especially sucks for HQ textures that already have huge file sizes.

LRLE textures have noticeable artifacting/pixelation in comparison to RLE2 - this may be fixed in the future.

Also, in case you didn’t know, RLE2 is the image format that in-game textures use, and LRLE is the new image format that supports colour sliders (it’s what makeup and skintones use now), and is what we’re using for our colour slider swatch.

For this tutorial you need the latest version of S4S, and the Colour Slider mod by thepancake1 & @mizoreyukii​​ (just the UI package). Got that? Alright, let’s get started..

straud - a default alpha skin.

i have literally never seen an alpha default in my life and well, if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself. masc and fem frame sims from teen to adult have different skins, though i did my best to give them the same sort of vibe. elders each have their own skin by gender as well, seperate to the teen-adult versions. children and toddlers share a skin. adults have wrinkles. sadly there’s no free eyelids due to it being alpha and thus double the size of a normal skinblend, so i recommend using eyelid overlays if you want other eye shapes. though i did try to pick skins that were more of a hooded eyelid for maximum compatibility. a massive thank you to sims3melancholic for allowing me to use his skins to make a default! named straud bc it needed a new name since there’s so many skins involved and i didn’t wanna just call it ‘alpha skin’ LOL

I’ve always wanted to have moodlets on my gameplay screenshots but no matter what I did, they were always destroyed after editing, would get pixelated when I tried blowing them up a bit, and look like doughy mess when I tried softening them. So I made some PSD format templates that are as close to EA’s as possible.

They are 538 x 302 so they won’t lose their resolution when scaled down. You get a happy/green base moodlet, as well as 12 other ones for each mood. Each layer is labeled, you can edit the text fields for each moodlet, and the moodlet bar (the colored part) then when you’re satisfied just hide merge the visible layers, copy it and paste it onto your screenshot, and scale to your liking! You can find all the moodlets here on the Sims Wikia.
