I'm Veil ! I also go by cozenveil, Serenova or Dani. ✨️

I'm a self-taught, gothic, nonbinary concept artist, fan-artist and writer who loves dark academia vibes, prohibition-era aesthetics and gothic atmospheres. In my work, I try my best to get across my biggest priority, which is the importance of identity and self-expression, especially as an enby.

I'm also working on many different projects. My biggest project is a personal story I'm creating, titled "Domani." For a better glimpse into what it's about, check out the summary on my Carrd page, in the "Projects" section. 🤍

In short, it's a gothic, non-linear, multi-perspective action thriller in prohibition-era America where many characters seek what they believe to be true enlightenment, and the immoral lengths they'll go to attain it. 🕯

Aside from this, I also have plans for MAJOR A.U. fanworks that I'd like to create full-length graphic novels out of. The three most notable ones are for;

Sonic The Hedgehog,

Klonoa,

and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

You can expect the Sonic and Klonoa ones sooner than later, since I've done considerable work for them already! ~

hai there!! what makes u so attracted to Toru Nakayama's style~? :D icl tho I do really like the art he contributed for the MMZ series, it's one of the reasons I love it so much (Fefnir n Harpuia n Leviathan n Phantom n X n Zero n Ciel n I'm rambling now hhehe—)

It's a few things, honestly. The biggest thing is the relatively sketchy/wobbly lineart, which made me feel right at home since I have a naturally sketchy rendering style. The more I studied the style, though, I found myself loving everything; the way he shades with watercolors in his earlier works, his simple lighting techniques, the anatomy, the very subtle hatching, it all clicked. I especially enjoyed adding a feint blur to the lineart and shading in order to replicate the feel of Nakayama's earlier pieces. The whole shebang is so darn fun!

yay classic mega! still workshopping some ideas but here's the general jist (gist?) of it. As per usual, my design is heavily (and I do mean heavily) based on multiple pieces of Classic Mega Man created by the goat Toru Nakayama.

If anyone is interested, i had a project in the works where i re-interpreted Mega Man X3 bosses in a style similar to Mega Man Zero, with considerable progress already done for Blast Hornet. figured if enough interest is shown ill do the whole maverick roster of that game and potentially others.

I made these pieces of the character from the upcoming Bloodstained sequel before we received the devastating news regarding SHUTARO. I hope he may rest in peace, and I'm eternally grateful for the massive contributions he has made to my favorite games of all time.
