owner is 18 but content will always be sfw || main is a secret || mostly here to dump off thoughts i have & my inbox is open to ideas as well! || feel free to take ideas :)
hello and thank you for visiting my little blog! i figured iâd write a little introduction to get to know me and what you may see on this blog :)
you can call me jojo! i use they/them and i am 18, but all content posted will be strictly sfw. i created this blog as an outlet for me to post hurt/comfort ideas i have because i have a whoooole lot of em!Â
this blog will be focused more on the comfort than the hurt, since thatâs my favorite part of whump :) updates will likely be inconsistent and only happen whenever i have ideas, since i want this blog to be something i run for fun rather than feel like a chore.Â
some of my favorite whump tropes:
~ sickfics (of course)
~ defiant whumpees
~ stoic whumpees
~ familial caretaking
and thatâs just to name a few! i will probably end up posting a lot of caretaking prompts that focus more on a familial relationship than a romantic one, since thatâs just something i enjoy and donât see enough of. but i will always specify in my post or tags whether its intended to be familial/platonic or romantic!
lastly, i probably wonât write any full length fics, but anyone is more than welcome to send prompts to my inbox! if you have an idea for a whump trope but donât have your own blog or other place to send it out to the world, please feel free to use my blog as a medium for that! thank you, and enjoy my content!
A doesnât have anyone who they can rely on. They donât have any friends, and any family they have is too distant to ask for help.
A never considered their loneliness a real problem until one day, they ended up in the hospital with some pretty serious injuries. They canât afford to extend their stay very long, so as soon as theyâre given the approval to leave, they want to do so immediatelyâbut due to the nature of their injuries (maybe something to the legs or minor to the head that would hinder their ability to move), A canât exactly make it home on their own.
They give the hospital a few emergency contacts to try calling, most of which are family they havenât spoken to in forever or mere acquaintances who probably donât care about them enough to help. A begins to lose hopeâŠbecause thereâs only one person left who can realistically make it. B.
A and B never got along, ever. Some weird, drawn-out rivalry between them that they each swear only exists because the other started it, yet they find it impossible to get along. A only has their contact information to send them the occasional nasty, sarcastic text.
Begrudgingly, because they really just want to go home and have exhausted every other option, A gives the hospital Bâs number to try. They know that B will probably just laugh and hang up, but theyâre just so tired and their injuries ache and they just wanna get home so they can change into fresh clothes and sleep in their own bed.
They were shocked when the nurse told them that B was on their way.
A had to rationalize for a moment. They were probably coming over to laugh at them or something. Theyâd laugh, probably sneak a few pictures, too. There wouldnât be an ounce of empathy in their body. But at the very least, A could go home.
It takes B about 25 minutes to get there (seriously, couldnât they have gotten here any faster?) and when they enter Aâs room, theyâre stuck staring at each other for a few moments.
âWow,â B starts, âyou look way worse than I thought you would.â
A wants to bite back at them, but now that they look closer, thereâs no enjoyment on Bâs face at seeing Aâs condition. Thereâs not exactly sympathy, eitherâŠif A could describe it as one thing, it was pity.
They wanted to hate being pitied, but honestly, itâs the closest theyâve ever gotten to someone actually being worried about them.
âWhatever,â A muttered. âI just wanna go home.â
They leave the hospital room and eventually make it outside (with more help from B than A was willing to admit), and with some struggle, they were able to slowly maneuver A into the car without aggravating any of their injuries.
The ride is slow and painfully quiet. A canât tell whether B is keeping the radio off to spite them with the awkwardness, or maybe it was busted, or maybe they were so focused on driving that they didnât even notice the tension. No matter the answer, it pissed A off.
âSo.â Bâs voice quickly snapped them back. âWhat the hell happened to you?â
A just scoffed, though there was none of their usual energy behind it. âNone of your business.â
âFair enough.â They were so nonchalant about it, that also began to piss A off. âThen, you mind explaining why I was the one you decided to call? I thought you had, like, way more friends than me or whatever it was.â
Oh. It was probably something stupid theyâd lied about during the heat of an argument. B actually remembered that shit?
âOh, yeah, that.â A paused, probably for too long. âI tried them. They didnât, uh, answer.â
âNot one of them answered.â
âYeah.â
âOut of every single one of your friends.â
âUm.â A faced away from B, even though B definitely wasnât looking at them. If their hand wasnât stuck in this cast, theyâd definitely be fidgeting like crazy. âYeah, uhâŠno, actually. I, uh, lied. AboutâŠthat.â
âHm.â
It didnât sound like B was surprised at all.
âI really did try everyone else in my contacts, though. They were all busy, or it was justâŠinconvenient, I guess.â
âSounds to me like you need new friends.â
Something leaped in Aâs chest when they heard B say that, and their head quickly turned to face them, though B was focused on the road. âYouâŠthink so?â
âYeah,â B said with a nod. âBecause this is an inconvenience to me, too, but here I am suffering anyway.â
And there goes that. âYou ass!â A shouted, much to Bâs amusement. âI actually thought we were having a momentâoh, youâre so lucky Iâm stuck like this, or IâdâŠâ
âYouâdâŠ?â
Another prolonged silence, and A just silently dropped back into their seat.
Even thenâŠB was kinda right. A had other people, people they tolerated way more than B, and people who didnât seem annoyed by everything they said. Yet it had been B who showed up to help.
âŠNo. That didnât mean anything. In fact, that said more about B than themselves. It meant weakness. B had a weak spot! They werenât so tough, and deep down, they actually didâŠ
âŠWait a second.
âHold on,â A cut in, sitting up as they watched out the window. âYou passed my complex. It was back there.â
âI know.â
They turned back towards B. âI wanna go home.â
It was almost pathetic how whiny and tired they sounded, but right now, A didnât care. Something seemed to flash across Bâs face, but for Aâs own sanity they chose to ignore it.
âSo, I was thinking about just dumping you off at home,â B began. âAnd thatâs what I was gonna do. But honestly, looking at you again, you definitely canât fend for yourself right nowââ
âDonât word it like that.â
ââand I donât want you calling me in the middle of the night to come over because you got your shirt stuck over your head or something. So, until you look like you got hit byâŠmaybe a motorcycle instead of a truck, youâre staying with me.â
âŠOh.
A blinked up at B, who just kept their eyes on the road the whole time. After a few seconds of silence (which felt weirdly comfortable now. A was probably too tired to feel awkward), they settled back into their seat again.
They thought about it again, and A couldnât help the small smile that spread across their face.
âGood to know that you do care about me.â
âJust shut up before I leave you in a cardboard box on the street.â
âcaretaker only using nicknames/pet names to try and soothe whumpeeâ is great. but i think âcaretaker who always uses nicknames/pet names only using whumpeeâs real name to try and soothe themâ hits just as hard if not harder
What's the situation? Do they wake up from a nightmare disoriented and confused, enough so that it takes them a second they forget they aren't with their parents and call out to the first person they see, only to be embarrassed a moment later when they realize? Are they so delirious they actually think their dad is there with them when it's really just an unrelated caretaker who's heart is breaking for them? Are they so scared, sick, or in pain that they just really really want their mom and don't care if that's impossible right now?
a sick whumpee with some kind of trauma involving illness. maybe they almost died of a severe one in the past, or maybe they lost someone very close to them to one. either way, ever since then theyâve always been terrified whenever theyâve gotten sick. maybe just a small anxiety when they get a coldâbut for full blown, bed ridden fevers, theyâre only ever at peace when theyâre knocked out cold.
maybe only a select few people know about their traumaâpeople who were with them when they faced it, therefore know itâs source. and extra bonus points if the (main) caretaker doesnât know how badly getting sick freaks out whumpee, and listens sympathetically with their head in their lap, brushing sweaty bangs from their forehead as they stumble through the story behind their trauma through scared tears, occasionally being shushed and promised they wonât die.
whumpee has an estranged relationship with their family (or former found family) for whatever reason. they isolated themself from their family and no longer considered themself a member of the family.
but one day, something happens- they get injured, or terribly sick, and have no one else to go to. out of desperation they go to wherever they knew they could find their old family and knock frantically at the door, begging and pleading with whoever answered (a parental figure?) to help them and at the same time apologizing profusely for coming back unwanted.
until they collapse into the parental figures waiting arms, clinging on for dear life as they softly reassure them that âitâs okay, whumpee, you have nothing to be sorry for. iâll take care of you just like i used to.â
give me a strong whumpee. a whumpee with scars to prove the battles theyâve won. a whumpee who is still hurting, but is trying as hard as they can to recover. a whumpee who is strong but imperfect, and still struggles to come to terms with what happened.
now give them a caretaker who will always reassure them that theyâre proud of them. a caretaker who still thinks that theyâre beautiful, even with their scars. a caretaker who has no issue sitting with them through a rough day just to ensure that they feel better. a caretaker who will always love whumpee, no matter how badly theyâre hurt.
