ziggy was born the only child of two talented surgeons. his mother was a talented cardiothoracic surgeon from stockholm, sweden, and his father is a world class vascular surgeon who hails from nairobi, kenya. they met while sigmund sr. and zig’s mother studied at the karolinska institute in sweden.
ziggy grew up in rochester, minnesota. his mother got a job as a cardio attending at the mayo clinic when zig was three.
dr. hewitt II speaks three languages: swedish, english, and swahili.
he prefers wine over beer, and dark liquors over clear.
he smokes when he’s stressed, which he concedes is absolutely disgusting for a doctor to do… nevertheless, he smokes camel menthols.
zig is absolutely obsessed with the harry potter series. he read the first book at 16, and he owns all of his original copies, the full hardcover boxset, as well as the illustrated copies of the first three books. he did take a lot of shit for it in college, but it’s still his go-to book on a chilly fall day, with a mug of hot apple cider and his cat, jonesy, cuddled on his lap.
