Wedding Wine Milestones
30th birthday gift ideas Wine basket
Baby shower crafts!
Yup another 30th birthday gift! Custom converse! I decorated a photo box with the inside top lid of friendship quotes and filled the box with photos of our friendship throughout the years. Also, 30 different types of beers - “Enjoy the many flavors of 30″.
I had two friend celebrating their 30th birthday, which we combined into their “60th bidet”. Some fun gift ideas and decor!
I baked these for a friend’s 30th birthday. Her nickname is squirrel, hence the squirrel theme.
DIY Iron On Shirts
My friends and I were going to a 80′s party, but didn’t want to spend much on costumes. We bought t-shirts from Michaels for $2.50. They were on sale for 2/$5. We bought a pack of Inkjet Fabric Iron On for $5 (Orig. $9.99, but we used a 50% coupon) (http://www.joann.com/june-tailor-quick-fuse-inkjet-fabric-sheets-3-pkg/5837455.html?mkwid=cYMCvRCH|dc&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=&utm_campaign=Shopping+-+Sewing&CS_003=12311117&CS_010=%5BProductId%5D&gclid=CjwKEAjw67SvBRC1m5zPv4GboAUSJAB6MJlk_F8Ok1YHVJmucblTWJLFb3FmSwqYUkkcXGoPJDtM5BoCl3Tw_wcB)
But when I got home, my Inkjet printer ran out of color ink. I wasn’t going to go spend $50 for new ink, so I got creative. I printed out the design I wanted for my t-shirts in black and white. I placed the iron sheet on top of it and traced the image. I used my sharpie markers to color in the design images, Then I used scissors and a xacto knife to cut out the design. Lastly, ironed on the designed onto the shirts.
DIY Christmas Stockings and Holders!
Our chimney mantel was looking bare and I didn’t want to spend lots of money on personalized stockings. I bought burlap fabric Joann’s. It ranges from $4-12 per yard, but Joann’s always has a coupon for 40-60% off on single fabric item. To make one stocking, I use 1/3 a yard and use a stocking pattern printed on ledger size paper.
I sewed the two pieces together and sewed an inch wide strip as the hook.
To personalize each stocking. I had some leftover white canvas fabric to stitch on the stocking. I used Embroidery Floss to stitch the names. You buy a single color for a dollar or less. I just bought a pack of 36 for $4.99 and it’s even cheaper if you use a coupon. (http://www.joann.com/cotton-embroidery-floss-primary-36-skeins/5039466.html#q=Embrodery%2Bfloss&start=1)
For some reason Stocking Holders are absurdly expensive. I did not want to spend a dime for it! I used cardboard box around the house and cut out a box pattern. I filled it with rocks and gravel outside of my house, but you can fill it with whatever heavy weights you have around the house. I wrapped it up with Christmas paper I had and use ribbon to hook in the stocking.
For the Christmas Banner, I used Romantiques font, which you can download for free (http://www.dafont.com/romantiques.font). Printed it on cardstock paper. You can use any message you want!
DIY Christmas Tree Garland! Our sad Charlie Brown Christmas Tree had no ornaments. I used old book pages to print out letter and construction paper as the background border. Punch some holes and used twine to string it all together. I used burlap material to create a simple bow as the Christmas Tree topper.
Wedding Day Survival Kit! Great gift for a Bridal Shower!
