Craigs Endurance Journey

at 46 years old I decided to give running a try and fell in love with it. At 49 I started to train for my first marathon. I began to struggle with chronic Achilles tendinitis and had to find a different endurance sport to do so cycling it is. Turns out I love cycling just as much as running but little did I know triathlon would get my attention and here we are.

I was selected in the lottery for the Philadelphia Broad Street Run. A 10 mile race that I’ve done once before. When I received the email telling me I got in I thought to myself “oh crap!! It’s been so long since I’ve done any real steady running I’m not sure I can run a 5K let alone 10 miles. Well today I went for a run and answered my question. No I can’t run a 5K.
