Some great photos from the Gloucester Guildhall gig last Wednesday (24th June) - certainly a million times better than mine! Also includes photos of support act Stealing Sheep.
See the videos from a special intimate gig with the Manchester band, thanks to StubHub!
Funnily enough, just a short time after I posted about the XFM Session below, the videos have now been put online. No footage of No Reptiles which is a little sad but the others are great!
Bit obsessed with this video - it was taken by a member of the audience at EE’s second Glastonbury set in the William’s Green tent on the Saturday afternoon. I’ve seen EE live several times recently and loads of times on video but this is the most emotional I’ve ever seen them get! Amazing stuff - I challenge you not to feel tearful by the end!!
Naughty BBC Breakfast News! #wrongalex
Third and final gig of June 2015 was at Gloucester Guildhall. This was EE’s Glastonbury warm-up gig and they were on very fine form! You could tell that they were all buzzing about how well Get To Heaven was doing and had heard earlier that day that it was at no. 2 in the mid-week charts. The support act were Stealing Sheep and they were joined by Duncan from Dutch Uncles for one of their songs!

The day after Get To Heaven was released, the band took part in a Q&A on Twitter for an hour. It was very hectic and I was hugely impressed at how many questions they answered! I wanted to read them all back afterwards so created this Storify to make life easier for myself. They kindly answered 4 of my questions - the one I was most pleased about was regarding Blast Doors and that it would be in the live set at some point!!
This is my current Everything Everything collection. I think I have everything other than the first version of Photoshop Handsome!
The day before Get To Heaven was released, EE were on the Channel 4 show Sunday Brunch, where they were interviewed and then played a stripped back version of Regret. Took a handful of screen shots on my phone which came out pretty well!
I wanted a new phone case which would be linked to Get To Heaven but not using the actual image. Came up with this design which sampled the colours from the sleeve art. Unfortunately when it was actually printed on the case, it came out a little dark but it still looks great!
Both my daughters are also big EE fans - this artwork was done by the youngest (9) and shows the band members as creepers from Minecraft! 😂
Sorry these posts are a bit out of date order. These were taken at the very first performance of the new Get To Heaven songs at the Exeter Phoenix on 07/04/2015. I couldn’t quite believe that my most favourite band had chosen my little home town in Devon to premiere their new material! We were so lucky that we got to sit and chat with them for a while afterwards while they enjoyed some local beer that I’d brought along for them. One of the best nights ever <3
The second of my three Everything Everything gigs in June was at Rise Records in Bristol on 19/06/2015. The band did a short set (although it got extended with two additional unplanned encores!) and then signed album sleeves etc. The stage was extremely tiny and we were so close, it almost felt like we were up there with them!
I was incredibly lucky to join fellow EE fan and good friend Emma at an exclusive XFM session in London on 08/06/2015. The band played four songs (Regret, Distant Past, Spring/Sun/Winter/Dread and No Reptiles) and answered a load of audience questions. My question was asked first - I asked what their favourite song off Get To Heaven was and Jeremy answered with To The Blade because it is so heavy and different to their earlier stuff. The whole thing was filmed so I’m hoping XFM will post the videos soon on YouTube.
This was shot at the very first public performance of the new songs from Get To Heaven in Exeter on 08/04/2015. Sorry for rubbish quality!
