It's late at night here, but I may as well do something like this for those who just started following this blog, and if anyone wants to know more about me.

So hi, my name is Dylan, and some randomness about me:

I am autistic, and have been diagnosed with a mild case since childhood

I am Vietnamese-American; however, I do not speak Vietnamese very well

I've known about the Sims 3 since third grade, but only started playing through the Xbox when I was 10, and have been playing with the PC version since I was 14

I don't just play The Sims 3, but I also very much love playing The Sims 2 <3

I am VERY socially awkward in real life

Besides the Sims, I have a bit of a gacha addiction (Curse you Hoyo & LnD!)

I made this blog when I was 16-17, but I only picked back up on it a few months ago to post

So yep, that is me, and I hope we get to see more of each other in the long run <3

I am finally finished with uploading the stuff I had retextured in my list, and now it is empty! Now this hair I really liked, but thank god there was a poly reduced version for it, which makes it more useful for actual gameplay and not just photos!

seriously the sims community is suffering an epidemic of AI-loving, LAZY, rude, oddly delusional?? and entitled "creators"

this is a single-player game but their cc likely stems from what this community has built up

your content is not bringing on some messianic discovery and alienating others when they point out that they probably shouldn't put other people's stuff behind paywalls, or they're not giving credit or falsely advertising instead of taking it as sage advice is just weird

it's a busted-ass game. no one is trying to pay for you to post

This has been an issue in the sims 2 community on Facebook too because I’ve been seeing some of the pageant people use AI for rEaLiStIc photography, and especially in the sims next top model community where I was given a BULLSHIT reason why they use it.

It has been a while since I last uploaded a sim for download, and as I was going back to see said sims, I realized I was planning to put this lovely lady up <3 She's actually one of my favorite made-over old Sims (who also happens to be one of my hair models), and a random fact was that she had a twin that unfortunately was never saved because my game decided to crash before I could lol :P

Just watched Adam Conover (of Adam Ruins Everything) make such a solid point that I think we should spread far and wide. Yes, having AI write your emails is lazy, sure, but people love being lazy. We need to really emphasize that sending AI emails (or using AI responses on social media, or publishing AI flyers, or or or) is rude.

It's rude. You're making someone take their time to read something you couldn't bother to write. You're telling them they were so unimportant you couldn't be bothered to actually take the time to say something yourself. And frankly, you're lying about it while you're at it.

Addressing a few concerns

So, I assume most of you don't know, but there is a bit of drama inside the Paralives community. It's funny because this whole thing is revolving around The Sims 3.

TwistedMexi made his first paywalled "early access" mod called Sims 3 Camera, and I've been working on the same thing as he was. 1. Let's get the "clone" allegation out of the way first.

TwistedMexi is accusing me of cloning his mod, but let’s look at the facts. Thankfully, I always use GitHub, so the commit dates are there to prove it.

(2026-05-27T19:57:44.000+00:00) is a timestamp of the publication date of his Patreon post.

Honestly, I didn't know I could see the future, but ok.

2. The second thing I want to address is that currently there are a lot of awful comments directed at Tmex. PLEASE do not harass other creators.

3. Regarding early access and paywalls: My mods are developed in my spare time as a passion project. I believe in keeping my work accessible to everyone, which is why all of my content will remain completely free, forever. I believe the community should play a role in maintaining projects if the original creator steps away, which is why I always share the source code for my projects Free mods are a pillar of a healthy community, whereas paywalls only lead to gatekeeping and unnecessary drama. My hope is that more creators choose to release their mods in a way that prioritizes community growth and shared resources.

When I first saw this hair, I knew I needed to have it in my game without realizing it was an edit of the bangs, which made a huge difference imo. Now, in the great 2026, another retexture for this hair was born!
