We’re excited thrilled to introduce the latest iteration of Sunrise/Sunset, a series of Internet art projects that mark sunset and sunrise in New York City every day on whitney.org. In Caughtinmoment, Lorna Mills continues her explorations of the gif as an iconic visual form of the online environment by breaking down images of sunrises and sunsets into pixelated components that wriggle and twist in mechanical, jerky motions. See it tonight at 8:31 pm or tomorrow morning at 5:26 am EST. Here’s a sneak peek at sunrise for all the sleepyheads out there!
