"We are Henri and Jacques! And we can't stop to talk! Because! We love to dance! La la la la!"
"See her over there?" Henry asks. "I'm going to go talk to her. I can see she's a little broken, but that's okay, it doesn't scare me...because I'm a little broken, too. And sometimes two broken people can make each other whole...Am I scared she has a kid? Naw, not at all. That kid needs love too, and I got a lot of love to give."
"What the...aw man, I lost a leg," groans Sandra. "Well, this sucks."
"I'm going to a costume party," says Michele. "I'm a trilobite!"
"Hello, good evening! ...Wait, what's this? ...Jesus bless me, it's a dead guy! ...I'm outta here!"
"No, it's not mine and I don't know what it even is...but I have to confess I am thinking about eating it," says Jules, eyeing the tantalizing little morsel in front of him. "Is that wrong?"
"Sometimes the world overwhelms me," says Juliet softly. "I just need to hide here for a minute and get myself together. I'll be okay."
HOW TO PLAY "KICK THE OPOSSUM" Gameplay starts by going outside at night and walking around yard in complete darkness. When you kick something furry earn 20 points, 50 if you're barefoot. If you think it is one of your dog's toys and attempt to pick it up, subtract 10 points, but give yourself 5 extra points for each octave that your shriek reaches. . Now you must run as fast as you can back to your house to get a flashlight. Bonus 20 points if your dogs get so excited that they run around totally crazy barking their heads off. Subtract 20 points if they barrel into you at the knees taking you down. 2 points for each apologetic lick on the face as you lay on the ground, minus 10 if they are standing on your stomach or hair at the time. Upon retrieving flashlight, 50 points if the batteries are still good. If not, subtract 5 for each time you whack it with your hand attempting to get it to work, and put $15 in the game pot to purchase new batteries. Earn an additional 2 points for each creative curse you utter. If you do not go back outside, you immediately forfeit the game. Hesitation is allowed, but will cost you 15 points. 100 points if you get back out the door without any dogs. Subtract 10 for each one that scrambles past you, and subtract 75 for the one that says 'what the hell' and charges right through the screen door. Go back and add $150 to the game pot for the door. Optional to add another $100 for your therapy. When returning to the yard, 50 points for finding the opossum you kicked in the dark and attempted to pick up thinking it was a dog toy. 100 points if it's dead. Bonus 100 if you don't retch. 50 points for each dog that sniffs it and walks away. Subtract 75 for the 'what the hell' dog that rolls all over it. Now you must fetch a shovel, all the while grasping the collar of the dog who's goal is to rub itself all over the dead opossum with leg-kicking glee. Earn 50 points if you manage this. Subtract 50 if the dog slips its collar and runs back to the opossum. Again, you may earn 2 points for each creative curse you speak. Attempt to pick the opossum up with the shovel. Each time it falls off, subtract 5 points. Each time 'what the hell' dog grabs it, subtract another 5 points. Earn 200 points for finally getting the damn thing on the shovel and tossed into the woods. Earn an additional 50 points for grabbing 'what the hell' dog and corralling said dog back into the house successfully. Now you must count your mosquito bites and subtract 3 points for each one, as well as subtracting 50 points for having to give 'what the hell' dog a bath. 10 points for realizing 'what the hell' dog will continue to roll on opossum daily and that the only thing to do is properly bury that sucker. Minus 5 points for each groan and sigh you utter. Give dogs treat. Give dogs another treat because 'what the hell' dog quickly gobbled theirs up, as well as stealing everyone else's. Add $25 to the game pot for treats. 100 points for being sly and slipping out door with shovel while dogs are occupied. Upon reaching the opossum disposal site, 50 points if it is still there. If it has gotten up and left because it was only playing dead which you were too idiotic to realize, lose all points and go home.
If you don't want to do an interview you can just say so. Jeez.
"Oh sure, people make comments, but I don't care," says Cy. "Maybe my nose IS big, but it serves me well."
"We didn't plan on having so many kids," says Joel. "But they just kept popping up."
"Green is my go-to color," explains Katy. "It suits me. I'm fairly certain I'll never wear any other color."
"Whoa, man, I got totally smashed last night...woke up here covered in dirt and shit...I don't even know where I am or how I got here," Lloyd groans.
"Public transportation is great," says Daniel. "That being said, I'm glad to be getting off here. That was way entirely too crowded, I felt like a sardine in there."
"It's my own design," says Lola. "Quite delicate, quite intricate, and I'm very, very proud of it. I'm hoping one of the big fashion houses takes notice."
"It's about the art and what the art says to you...it's not about the artist. Therefore, I prefer to remain anonymous."
"We've been waiting for this day a long time," says Lucy. "We always knew we'd have a September wedding." "The funny thing is," Marie chimes in, laughing, "is that we picked out our dresses separately! And yet - surprise! We ended up getting the same one."
