if you think the statement "the war on drugs is not as severe now as it was in 2008" is controversial i dont know what to say? i meant weed legalization and the growth of clean needle programs etc. maybe ask for clarification b4 being mad. i would never say it doesn't fucking exist it obviously does it's obviously still bad

funny how you leave the racial aspect out of this, and are entirely dismissive of that criticism by boiling it down to "being mad". because that is what i specifically said in my post LOL. since, yknow, the "war on drugs" has antiblack roots and has always been a racist conservative white supremacist dogwhistle. the "war on drugs" has never been about drugs. if you understood this shit then you'd also understand that part of the whole point of breaking bad is that walter gets away with shit for as long as he does because he is a white cis straight man and therefore is not as deeply affected by the "war on drugs". which, again, is a racist dogwhistle and has very little to do with drugs because white people historically have not been punished as disproportionately as black and latine people for drug use. if you think the "war on drugs" isn't "as bad" as it was in 2008 then you are ignorant at best.
