Welp.... You know what I'm doing
I went about my usual routine, deep below the ground in my cold war era bunker. Technically it wasn't mine; it had belonged to some billionaire and I'd read about it in a Time magazine years ago. In the chaos of the Outbreak, I made my way there and had planned to beg entry, offering my services as an electrician and all-round handyman. Well, that hadn't been needed in the end; their bodies sat in the back of the subterranean wine cellar, mummifying in the still air down there. The TV hadn't picked up a signal in 30 years but I still liked to sit in front of it; powered still by the miniature hydroelectric plant in the catacombs beyond the cellar. The flickering static and the gentle hissing noises through the old speakers were compelling and comforting. My steps echoed down the empty, opulent corridors of the richly appointed apocalypse shelter. Dust lay thick everywhere that I didn't walk. Who had time for cleaning? Besides, there were dozens of rooms, along with the driving range and the swimming pool - both fallen into decay. Only frogs and algae lived in the stagnant waters now. The library was one of my other haunts. Weak electric light flickered behind the stained glass windows, giving the impression of a dying sunset - or the flames of the apocalypse. I had never decided which. Like the TV though, the light offered comfort and I often found myself drawn here. Pictures of the rich family still littered the bunker. John and Sarah, oil barons from Texas or somesuch. I couldn't really remember. I paused in front of a dusty mirror, startled by my own reflection - just as I had been thousands of times before - then realised my mistake and wandered on. I had no idea how long it had been now; time really had lost all meaning to me in my palatial exile. It could have been ten years, it could have been two. It could have been forty. Only one room was really 'my' room. At first I'd moved between them, but this one seemed like it was *mine*. I guess it reminded me of my childhood bedroom; the zoetrope constantly casting fanciful shadows around the spaceship wallpaper and the bunkbeds speaking of simpler times. One of the resident rats scuttled out and attempted to nip me but I carelessly put my foot down; breaking its spine and leaving it paralysed. A sound echoed down the corridor and caught my attention. *What was that?* Turning, I ignored the twitching rodent and made for the stairs to the upper levels. There is was again. A definite sound - a *new* sound. Hurrying now, I stumbled up the stairs in my haste, reaching the landing as I heard more alien sounds. *Voices?* Yes, voices! How long had it been since I'd heard voices? I didn't know. My own vocal cords worked to respond but it had been too long since they had been used. *"Footprints!* There's someone down here!" yelled an excited voice. Another responded, "Shit, *thirty years* someone's been down here?" came a reply - a woman's voice. "Yeah, some poor bastard has been here twenty years longer than they needed." I hurried towards the laughter and the light of their electric torches. Then they were in front of me, shocked by my sudden appearance. *"Holy shi-"* started the woman, but was cut off as I gouged open her throat with my exposed jaws. The man went next; his face raked open with my skeletal fingertips, blinded. The last tried to run but I lashed out and snagged his hip, tearing open cloth and flesh, slowing him down considerably. As he hobbled frantically away from me, yelling in terror, my new family member rose behind me, her half-severed head lolling to one side. I grinned in bloody, mummified joy. My isolation was over.
Have you checked underneath your bed?
United States of Monsters: Alabama
The Choccolocco Monster
the Choccolocco Monster. It terrorized the people of the area for many weeks until it was exposed as a hoax. It was a local resident dressed in sheets and carrying a cow skull. He would wait behind bushes for oncoming traffic and jump out in the path of the oncoming traffic. The perpetrator would do an eerie dance, usually causing the car or truck to run off the road. The hoax went on for several weeks until the Choccolocco Monster met its match one dark evening.
On that night, the monster was waiting on another victim when he saw headlights in the distance.
The “monster” jumped out and started his ghostly dance as the pickup truck ran of the road into the bushes. The driver stepped out of his vehicle with a rifle and opened fire. The monster ran though a barbed wire fence and into history.
I worked with a lady once who was pretty old, I'd say about 70 years old. Since our job was pretty boring, we talked a lot and she had all kinds of crazy stories. But this one creeps me out still. She said when her grandma died they had her buried in a wood box in the backyard, as was pretty custom in those days. Well years later they have a family plot in a cemetery and decide to dig her grandma up to move her to the family plot. She said when they took the lid off the coffin, it had claw marks all over the inside. The grandma had apparently been buried alive.
Around the Corner
I was about 15 minutes from finishing the night shift at work when there was a massive crash on one of the windows in the office so I get up and go to check it out. Someone has thrown quite a sizable rock through one of the windows on the front of the building. This is made especially weird because I'm working in the industrial district at 11:30 at night with none of the other businesses open. I go back to my desk, put a quick call through to security to let them know and decide to head home. As I'm leaving the building I'm freaking myself out about it more and more and end up running to my car, getting in and taking off. I'm almost home and I've started to calm down a bit when I realise that I didn't unlock my car when I got in. It had been unlocked the whole time. I do a quick check with my hand in the backseat for any possible murderers that might be hanging around there but there's nothing there.
Fast forward 30 minutes: I've called a friend of mine who says he is out drinking so I decide I'm going to join him. I jump on my bicycle and start riding over. I'm doodling along the road on my bike, it's a nice night and I'm in no big rush, just enjoying the moonlight when I hear someone riding behind me. I straighten up and stick to one side of the road. He passes me really slowly and, when he is right beside me, he shoots me a smile I can describe as purely fucking insane. I kind of flinch and am taken aback as he rides on. That's when I realize. He is riding my mom's bike!!!
Needless to say, I sprint the fuck home. When I get there, sure enough her bike is missing and one of my car's doors is open. The back left one. I was driving, and had no need to open that door.

Emily?
I screamed her name, there was no answer. How could I be so careless? “Emily!” I yelled she was probably lost somewhere in this forsaken place, the old high school. I walked around the empty halls calling her name, I came across some hand prints on the dusty glass of a door that was slightly cracked she must have went in there. l walked up to the door and I heard a giggle behind the door and was imminently relieved and opened the door. There were shelves fill with dust covered books the room looked like it was frozen in time the tables had papers and book bags on them as if someone was just studying. I closed the door behind me so if someone came in or out i would hear a creak. “okay, you little devil you need to come here now!” I demanded I waited a few seconds but there wasn’t an answer. I walked around each corner and looked under each table, she was not in here the giggling I heard must have been my mind playing tricks. “Emily!” I yelled a few more time, I exited the library and continued searching the halls for clues and paths she might of took. I felt like giving up I felt like looked everywhere I yelled her name once again and still did not hear a response. I felt sick to my stomach something didn’t feel right when I found her scarf laying on the ground, it had something black all over it , it was paint? Which meant she could have gone to the art room, I looked more closely at the ground there were little black shoe prints. I followed the prints until they stopped at a closet I knocked on the door thinking she was in there “Emily you can come out, now I found you” as I opened the door a piercing scream filled my ears, I immediately ran to where the area where the scream came from, there was a little girl standing naked in the middle of the hallway she was looking straight down at the floor there was black goo dripping from her mouth “Are you okay?” I slowly started walking towards her “Are you lost, I can help you” she whispered words I didnt understand and walk to the bathroom. I went to the bathroom and opened the door, a terrible smell hit me in the face my heart sank as soon as I saw the cause of the smell. There were naked children by the dozens, some looked like they have been there for a few years and other not even a day their mouths were wide open and their jaws looked broken, what ever was on the scarf was in and around their mouths. I couldn’t wrap my head around what was going on here, who would do this to children. I walked backwards out of the bathroom not being able to take my eyes off of the horrific sight “Emily, please be okay” I whispered to myself as tears ran down my cheeks. I lifted my head up and wiped away my tear I needed to find her,I ran around shouting her name over and over again. I heard her she was yelling my name I sprinted down the hallway as fast as I could. I stopped in my tracks when I turned the corner, there she was my beautiful girl I ran to her and lifted I gave her the biggest hug as soon as i wrapped my arms around her she was nothing but goo , how is this possible I just had her in my arms she was right here! I felt her, heard her, I saw her none of this is possible. I searched through the goo as tears rushed down my cheeks I couldn’t even see straight anymore I was so angry and I just screamed and yelled at God “Mom?” I heard a voice behind me I turned around to see Emily standing in a doorway “Why are you playing in paint?” she asked “Emily is that you is it really you?” I begged her for an answer she nodded her head “Where have you been.” I shouted. “I was at home, daddy is here too.” he was standing behind her with flower. Was this a joke, were they pranking me? He came over to me and got on one knee and said “The doctors said you’re almost stable enough to come home and your episodes are getting shorter” I was confused so confused “Where am I?” I whispered to him “Sweetie you dont remember” as the word came out of his mouth the hallway turned into a bright white painted room with a bed , and pictures of me and my family hanging on the brick wall and black paint smeared everywhere, then I remembered I was in the a nutty house for years because of crimes that are unspeakable
I know I've been MIA but I'm back for the season and to stay for a long time to creep you guys out as much as I can! 👻
I am you. I am every thought you’ve had, but only stayed a thought. I’m the one who looks on at that pretty blond hair and tells you how much you want her. I drive you… But you push me away. You always push me away, to the back of your mind. You don’t like seeing me… You don’t like seeing yourself. You look at me in the mirror and you get angry. It makes me happy. You’re not ignoring me… You’ve got her all alone now, and I’m going to tell you exactly what to do. You can’t ignore me anymore… And you’re doing so well. She’s soaked and screaming, because of you… Now take out your lighter… and burn that bitch.
I guess this is ok it’s not that great I mean it’s not good at all;;;;
If you have the time........ Enjoy

The Smiling Man
About five years ago I lived downtown in a major city in the US. I've always been a night person, so I would often find myself bored after my roommate, who was decidedly not a night person, went to sleep. To pass the time, I used to go for long walks and spend the time thinking. I spent four years like that, walking alone at night, and never once had a reason to feel afraid. I always used to joke with my roommate that even the drug dealers in the city were polite. But all of that changed in just a few minutes of one evening. It was a Wednesday, somewhere between one and two in the morning, and I was walking near a police patrolled park quite a ways from my apartment. It was a quiet night, even for a week night, with very little traffic and almost no one on foot. The park, as it was most nights, was completely empty. I turned down a short side street in order to loop back to my apartment when I first noticed him. At the far end of the street, on my side, was the silhouette of a man, dancing. It was a strange dance, similar to a waltz, but he finished each "box" with an odd forward stride. I guess you could say he was dance-walking, headed straight for me. Deciding he was probably drunk, I stepped as close as I could to the road to give him the majority of the sidewalk to pass me by. The closer he got, the more I realized how gracefully he was moving. He was very tall and lanky, and wearing an old suit. He danced closer still, until I could make out his face. His eyes were open wide and wild, head tilted back slightly, looking off at the sky. His mouth was formed in a painfully wide cartoon of a smile. Between the eyes and the smile, I decided to cross the street before he danced any closer. I took my eyes off of him to cross the empty street. As I reached the other side, I glanced back... and then stopped dead in my tracks. He had stopped dancing and was standing with one foot in the street, perfectly parallel to me. He was facing me but still looking skyward. Smile still wide on his lips. I was completely and utterly unnerved by this. I started walking again, but kept my eyes on the man. He didn't move. Once I had put about half a block between us, I turned away from him for a moment to watch the sidewalk in front of me. The street and sidewalk ahead of me were completely empty. Still unnerved, I looked back to where he had been standing to find him gone. For the briefest of moments I felt relieved, until I noticed him. He had crossed the street, and was now slightly crouched down. I couldn't tell for sure due to the distance and the shadows, but I was certain he was facing me. I had looked away from him for no more than 10 seconds, so it was clear that he had moved fast. I was so shocked that I stood there for some time, staring at him. And then he started moving toward me again. He took giant, exaggerated tip toed steps, as if he were a cartoon character sneaking up on someone. Except he was moving very, very quickly. I'd like to say at this point I ran away or pulled out my pepper spray or my cellphone or anything at all, but I didn't. I just stood there, completely frozen as the smiling man crept toward me. And then he stopped again, about a car length away from me. Still smiling his smile, still looking to the sky. When I finally found my voice, I blurted out the first thing that came to mind. What I meant to ask was, "What the fuck do you want?!" in an angry, commanding tone. What came out was a whimper, "What the fuu…?" Regardless of whether or not humans can smell fear, they can certainly hear it. I heard it in my own voice, and that only made me more afraid. But he didn't react to it at all. He just stood there, smiling. And then, after what felt like forever, he turned around, very slowly, and started dance-walking away. Just like that. Not wanting to turn my back to him again, I just watched him go, until he was far enough away to almost be out of sight. And then I realized something. He wasn't moving away anymore, nor was he dancing. I watched in horror as the distant shape of him grew larger and larger. He was coming back my way. And this time he was running. I ran too. I ran until I was off of the side road and back onto a better lit road with sparse traffic. Looking behind me then, he was nowhere to be found. The rest of the way home, I kept glancing over my shoulder, always expecting to see his stupid smile, but he was never there. I lived in that city for six months after that night, and I never went out for another walk. There was something about his face that always haunted me. He didn't look drunk, he didn't look high. He looked completely and utterly insane. And that's a very, very scary thing to see.
Don't Go On Omegle
Sometimes, I get bored. When I get bored, I go on Omegle. You know, the random video chat website, kind of a poor man's ChatRoulette. Honestly, I can't even explain why, especially as the general pattern seems to be Penis Penis Penis Penis Guy with abs out Penis Fake webcam with hot girl advertising a virus filled website. Penis. Rinse, and repeat, am I right? But that for some reason doesn't stop me. There's something oddly amusing about trawling through the thousands of webcams, every so often coming across somebody who blatantly didn't know what they were signing up for, or finding a group of friends who knew EXACTLY what they were signing up for, but were doing it "for the lols." So here I am, bored, alone, quickly clicking "next" whenever a penis pops up (if you'll pardon the pun), when I saw her. Those of you who frequent Omegle will know that a real live woman is a rare sight indeed, and sometimes they're the most interesting conversations of all, because you can usually tell you're the first guy that she's found who doesn't want to take his pants off for her over the internet. "Hi" I typed. She's brunette, attractive, smiling a lot. She's doing that thing some girls do where she's sitting curled up in a computer chair, practically sat on her legs. I've never understood how that can be comfortable. "Stranger is typing..." Weird, I thought. There doesn't seem to be much movement, maybe there's lag? "Stranger is typing." Except she's still sitting there. Perfectly still. Smiling. I start to think that maybe I've come across another one of those fake webcam clickbaits that appear every so often, except there's no link to go to, and there appears to be movement off behind her, her curtains seem to be being moved by the wind. Odd, I think, seeing as her windows are shut. "Stranger is typing..." "Stranger: Hi" Finally! Took her long enough! "Hey there, so what brings you here?" "Stranger is typing..." "Stranger: You." Well, that was quicker than last time. "Well, I'm flattered, but we've only just met." Smooth until the end. "Stranger is typing..." "Stranger: you." "Stranger is typing..." "Stranger: you." So now I'm convinced it's a bot, so I cut my losses and click "next chat." She's there again. It says there are a few thousand online so that's unusual. Next chat. There she is. "Stranger: Don't go." She's moving now. But it seems like her webcam is lagging a lot. Her movements are jerky, almost like she's in some kind of stop motion. She's still smiling, but there's something unnatural about it now, disconcerting. "Stranger is typing..." "Stranger: You. Don't go." "Why don't you want me to go? How do we keep matching?" "Stranger is typing..." I'm panicking now. How can I have got a virus if I haven't clicked any links? "Stranger is typing..." "Stranger: Stay." "Stay where?" "Stranger is typing..." She stands up now, and it's clear that there's no way she's typing this. Her movements are even more unnatural than before. She leans in to the webcam, so her smiling face fills the screen. "Stranger is typing..." "Stranger: Right there." Suddenly, her face is gone. And there's a different picture on my screen. It's exactly where I'm sitting. At first I think some clever dick has managed to clone my webcam feed. Then I realise. It's exactly where I'm sitting, only I'm not actually sitting there. It's the chair I'm in right now. Only empty. I have to be honest. I shut that laptop, and I ran out the house. I'm in the local library now trying to find out if anybody else has ever experienced this. An Omegle tab just opened on my screen here. I didn't open it.
