Has anyone written a fic where Hiroaki dies during chapter 3 and Ojima keeps trying to draw to him but becomes increasingly frustrated by the fact that none of his drawings will ever feel complete because he never got to see Hiroaki’s eyes? If so drop the name
Ok so like, these past few days I’ve been drawing a superpower AU and infodumping on twitter, but for now I only have sketches of the Vigilante team and no one else, so here are some sketches

Vigilantes, in the context of this world (which is based on one I have for ocs), are people who do ‘hero’s work’ illegally. They do not have the license or permission to use powers in combat, but still choose to do so. However, unlike the villains, they use their powers for good.
Since in this world you’d have to apply and pass the test+training to be able to use their powers in combat, Vigilantes are usually people who failed said test in one way or the other, with some exceptions. This particular band of Vigilantes consist of 3 people:
[HAYASHI MAI] Unlike the other two, Hayashi straight up never applied for a license, as she doesn’t want to be tied down to the laws and publicity related work, she thinks it’s dumb and a waste of time. Instead, she started off capturing villains solo.
Hayashi’s power, [Perfect Aim], is very simple in concept. Anything she throws, shoots, or launch will hit the target as intended as long as they are within her line of sight when she throws it, even if her target is out of sight after she threw.
For example, if she throws a ball at someone, as long as she threw it when she sees them, the ball can and will curve to hit the target even if they duck behind something. The only known counter to this is if the target is entirely covered from all sides.
Moreover, she can focus down to the exact spot on the person/object she wishes to hit. How strong the hit/shot is depends on the force she uses when she threw something, unless of course it’s a firearm which always goes high-speed.
[HIROAKI NAKAMIGAWA] A renowned fashion designer for heroes, does commission work for a bunch of different firms. Applied for the license himself, but failed because of his brash attitude and drug abuse, even if he was on and off. Feels kind of salty about it.
He bonded with Mai who came into get more suitable clothing for her work, and once he got some answers to what she actually does, they talked about how being tied down was stupid and he wouldn’t want that anyway, so he basically invited himself to join her going forward.
Hiroaki’s power, [Weaver], is known to the public but not to the fullest extent. The known part is that he can generate fabric, but it’s really more complicated than that. What he can actually do is generate all types of threads and weave said threads into fabric at high speed.
He can do this so fast that it looks like he’s just summoning pieces of cloth, allowing him to create fabric of all colors, patterns, and texture out of the literal palm of his hand. To the naked eye, it would look like he’s pulling an entire sheer of cloth out of his arm.
The more unknown part of his powers is that he can also control threads he’s created long after he summons them, like telekinesis, and can even extend or shrink them if he needs to. As long as the cloth is from him, he can control it to an extent.
[OJIMA TAKESHI] An illustrator. Both of his brothers are involved in some aspects of heroes’ life, so he wanted to be involved as well. However, Ojima failed the license based of safety-related reasons, mainly his maladaptive daydreaming being the biggest concerns.
He wasn’t planning on getting into vigilantism, but came across Hayashi and Hiroaki one day and more or less got recruited by Hiroaki, even if Hayashi was a little hesitant on roping someone else into their mess.
Ojima’s power is [Life-Like]. Anything he draws can be pulled out of the page and used in real life, as long as he has a logical way it would operate in mind. For example, he cannot make a bag that can contain infinite items because he’d have no idea how it would logically work.
He could also create animals, plants, or abstract creatures, but not humans or humanoids. He can control those pretty freely after they pop out of the page, as his creations follow his commands.
The biggest cons is that his creations melt away with water, and they pretty obviously looks like drawing. He can pull something off the page 1-5 times per drawing before it fades away from said page, depending on the size of whatever he was making.
The vigilantes team have their own little hideout in a pretty nice but relatively small lair underground. They are very good at staying undercover, but has recently been spotted by a certain Yanagi Shigeki during one of their missions...

i said this on twitter, but what Higanbana felt like to me was like, if at the end of Final Burden, when Hiroaki said ‘I don’t know how to fix things anymore’, he proceeds to die right in front of Ojima before he could say anything
by the way, HATING that people are interpreting lost gluten alliance as 'Martyn, Cleo, and Ren in a poly, and Impulse is also there' as if Impulse wasn't there for the proposal and wasn't literally Ren's original husband this season (and Tango but he's dead)
It's going to be really upsetting once someone in the cabin core crew permadies bc when they go to the hot tub time machine they're going to be missing one corner
