I wish, no, I need to go back in time In order to get some closure. I could have said so much more than I did Which was nothing. I just stood there, so confused, so hurt And all you did was yell and scream. You wouldn’t let me leave, you made me stay Just to say the same thing and blame me more. I was hysterical, my mind quite literally malfunctioning But apparently, you saw that as an attitude. Thinking back, everything you were saying Was a contradiction to everything you were doing. If I had only pointed it out, and put up a defense You would have realized how you can’t win a battle that way. I’m not allowed to fight back though I just have to take it. Now all I can hope is that you realize your mistake That my face reminds you of that moment. When you belittled and made a teenager so upset That she cried the hardest she ever had in her life.
