For example, the adding of manure, or feces in the soil in farms to "cultivate" the soil to be rich in "nutrients" is a dirt demon procedure and a PR tactic to get the public to accept the idea that adding feces in their food source is a smart procedure.
In reality, crops absorb the fecal bacteria in their systems, and it gets transferred to people's bodies. The quality of the water and the soil affects the quality of the crops produced. Having manure in the soil makes the crops grow in low quality and puts people at a much higher risk of contaminating diseases and viruses.
