         HE SAT NEAR a small campfire, wanting to settle for the day. The location he had chosen for it was near perfect, surrounded by thick woods and bushes, leaving him ample space to set up for when the night would come, but it seemed that someone had spotted him after all. No normal human would choose to camp out in the forest when there was a town nearby, he was sure. 

         HE DIDN’T MOVE from where he sat. He turned his head into the general direction of the other’s voice, but otherwise made no weird movements, not even reaching for his own sword to protect himself, were the other to cowardly strike him from behind while he was defenseless.

        Guts couldn’t help but scoff over being speculated as a war hero. "I’m just an unlucky sap that gets shit on by demons on the daily.” He answered first, the grip on his blade never loosening. The night sky sparkled with stars and wood crackling from the campfire made it a rather serene setting—however it was tainted by the tense atmosphere between them. 

        “You’re one of them. Another monster masquerading as a human.” Even if his brand hadn’t alerted him of the other’s presence, their pale skin, golden eyes that seemed to glow in the night, and almost perfect features unsettled Guts. A brown eye trained itself on the other’s figure. One swift swing and he could lop the demon’s head off—not yet...he needed answers first. 

        “I traveled far to find a man. One they call Dracula. Tell me where to find him.”

hey so I ghosted but I think I’m back. lately I was feeling really bad. felt my writing wasn’t good on all my blogs and I still don’t feel I have a grasp on guts yet but gdmi Ima try! anyway I hope to be more active now I think I needed a break because I was burning myself out with my 3 other blogs

        A loud sigh leaves the swordsman as he promptly stops in his tracks without warning. His dark eye roaming over towards...Loni—that was her name wasn’t it? Ever since he got roped into one goddamn fight after another he somehow managed to add a new party member to his journey. One that was hellbent on following him like a lost puppy. 

         ‘Do whatever you want’ is what Guts grumbled out to her asking to tag along. He didn’t actually expect her to stick around for as long as she did. Even warned her of the dangers she’d face if she kept close to him and that did nothing to deter her away from him. 

         Guts was bad news to be around once the sun set and it was only a matter of time before dark beings manifested around them. “It’s getting late, I already informed you about the monsters that come out at night. I wasn’t joking about any of it.” There was caution in his tone as he looked her in the eyes, giving her one last chance to back out should this be more than she bargained for. “From here on out, is nothing but dangerous and restless nights with me.”
