Now that he’s in a more satisfactory position, your hands begin caressing his fins again. This time, one of them finds one of his fin rings and begins to gently and experimentally toy with it.

He purred into the kiss again, a low rumbling sound.

You quickly deepen the kiss, attempting to pull Eridan into your lap as you do so.

“Oh?  An’ howw are you goin’ to do that?”

“WELL...”

You lean down and kiss him again.

He purred louder.  “Then I’ll keep doin’ it.”

“THAT’S A GOOD IDEA, BUT I THINK I PREFER EXTRACTING IT FROM YOU NATURALLY”

You smirk.

He returned the hug, purring again.

“YOU KNOW, I REALLY LIKE HEARING YOU PURR”

Eridan leaned back on the couch.  “I’m glad wwe’re together again.  Wwell, I guess it wwas an alt a’ you I kneww in the past, but - still.  I missed talkin’ to you.”

“YEAH. I MISSED YOU TOO”

You hug Eridan.

This time, you just give him a quick kiss.

He leaned up and gave Karkat another quick kiss.  “Mhmm.”

“ALSO, YOU’RE A PRETTY GOOD KISSER”

“YEAH. HOW PRETTY YOU ARE IS DEFINITELY A BETTER THING TO TALK ABOUT. JUST. SO PRETTY, OKAY?”

You gently touch them again. 

“I DON’T THINK YOU’VE MENTIONED THAT, BUT YOUR EYES ARE SO MUCH MORE STUNNING, HONESTLY”

“I’M NOT SURE, BUT I SHOULD PROBABLY ALSO MENTION THAT I FIND THE WAY YOUR FINS FLUTTER WHEN YOU’RE HAPPY REALLY CUTE”

Eventually, you pull back, taking a moment to just look at Eridan. 

“HAVE I MENTIONED THAT YOU’RE REALLY PRETTY?”
