Did Rafayel lie in Love's Silhouette about the first meeting? - Analysis and Theory

I'm seeing rounds about this going in Twitter, so I figured I might as well make my own take on this.

In Love's Silhouette, Rafayel mentions that his and MC's first meeting at the fishing pond was a complete coincidence. Was he lying, or speaking the truth?

Honestly, immediately when Rafayel mentions it was a coincidence, I started to doubt him even more it ever being a one.

If you look back into the opening cinematic for Under Deepspace, we can see OG3 guys going on their days, Xavier is in the underground bunker where we meet him, Zayne is about to go to work, and Rafayel is in his home napping. It's good to note that Zayne seems to react to the narration in the trailer, and so does Rafayel:

This is the same day MC meets all of them during the day, so this is the only clue we have what Rafayel was doing that day outside of his own words. During this trailer Rafayel wakes up from his nap, looks at his painting, wipes the paint on his cheek and then stares at the sea longingly. So his first line about finishing a painting was most likely true.

We know from Addictive Pain Rafayel used to stalk MC quite a lot during his professor days, and most likely didn't stop when MC graduated college. He most likely knew MC was about to graduate as a Deepspace Hunter, and how it seems, he also heard the narration type broadcast as well.

About him taking a travel brochure with him, you can see that he has one with him during the chapter 1-07 Ripples, so it also holds true. But, as you can see, it is about Hat Island, which we go with him later in the story at Chapter 7.

One thing that really gets my attention is why he would take a travel brochure as someone who lives in the city? So far we don't know what kind of distances Linkon has, but if it's based off Shanghai, it means it's very big city, which would mean walking across different districts isn't really possible. I imagine there is quite the distance between Whitesand Bay and Azure Square.

Speaking of Azure Aquare, as I was trying to find real life references to it, I found this from Reddit, which found that Rafayel had a reminder in the previously mentioned trailer when it pans out in the distance view of Rafayel. This contradicts what he said in Love's Silhouette, as he never mentioned or hinted he would have had anything to do in Azure Square. I'm not entirely sure what the text box text days, could also be something starting with R like "ready", though I'm not seeing y in there.

I also have written a theory about Reddie before, just before Love's Silhouette was released in which I talk about that Rafayel didn't want to have Reddie. In case you don't want to read that, Rafayel's demeanor seems relatively okay up until MC offered Reddie back to Rafayel. This is when his smile drops, and he gets annoyed. I theorised in this post that he wanted to use Reddie to spy on MC, as he has done in his previous myths. Now that he didn't have a way to refuse, he just leaves annoyed.

I want to add to that post, that I feel Rafayel's intention for their first meeting was just only to get Reddie to her in case she wouldn't investigate Raymond. This way he could keep an eye out for her still even though one huge part of his plan failed, and he would have needed to reintroduce himself again with another plan.

Also, let me point out that Rafayel's way of getting MC's attention with kids is very on par with him, which would lead me to believe he really wanted to get MC's attention, and not just stumble on her by accident.

Finally one more Easter Egg during Rafayel's birthday event, MC's line while tapping on Reddie's fishtank is about the first meeting and MC hinting that Rafayel had to practise getting Reddie.

So in short, I don't believe Rafayel was being truthful about this meeting with MC. Even though his words are sweet, at this point of their relationship, he's still closed up to MC and doesn't really want to reveal everything yet.
