In the case all the players are written to the nature in which they warned however this is NOT ABOUT the original case in which Denotay Long is in QUESTION AS he already plead guilty and GOT A one year prison sentence HOWEVER THE message that I am trying to get at is that I am going after both Milwaukee Public School’s and the WIAA AND there willing to let a felon play in the State tourney and showing that this type of message in my view they are guilty of teaching all us the wrong message

My internet selection is a website called www.theguardian.com which is a British news and media website owned by the Guardian Media Group.that focus on social issues that are dominating the headlines. The article in question is about the deaf and hard of hearing community in the workplace and how much of a struggle that the deaf and hard of hearing community in the workplace. For example, there are things that a deaf or a hard of hearing person has to deal with while on the job, the one major one is communication with other people this article that the website has talked about how hard and also tricky because they have different forms of communication. This article on the website brings me back to the course in some ways like for example when we talked about the migrations of the Chinese and the Mexicans or the article about how the African American was treated after the civil war, every example deals with Americans being able to accept a culture in a respectful way from other society’s. Another thing that I want to get out because I believe it’s important to state it when I am talking about a community that is so rich and diversity I am talking about stereotype I bring up the post that I did about the Hapa project which I state that it allowed people to identify app parts of themselves. I bring that up because I believe that the deaf and hard of hearing community breaks stereotypes more than any other community because of the ways that they can communicate with others around them. Before I state why I think my internet selection was more of a culture diversity rather then a racial issue is that growing up hard of hearing myself and not being able to be a part of that community until now has affected me because I believe that I need to break that stereotype that I need an interpreter when I am around my own community it’s hard to a learn a language like American Sign Language for the first time that should be learning from day one in my life. Finally , as I do this final project I look at this class as a way where I can learn about other cultures and what they go through and see similar and difference between my own culture and there I see one thing the word privilege comes to mind every topic that we talked about throughout the course that word comes to my mind because it’s what we the person can’t control .

As we finish off the course with this essay that reflects over the issue that we talked about in the course reading or discussion. A lot of them talk about race and how big of an impact it had on those affected by it.M y first selection is the movie Glory Road which is about the 1966 Texas Western men’s basketball team run to the national championship game as the team was the first team in NCAA history to start five African American’s in a national championship game, but the film reflects on more than just a basketball team, a lot of what this course talks about like in the course reading is race and the movie is about the civil rights movement and the racial tension around that team in that time period which generates back to our first ever reading in this course which was about how the African American’s where treated before and after the civil war where there was a number lynching and murders because the white Americans where not ready to accept the African Americans into the society that they live in . Now that I see this the movie Glory road which again is about a college men’s basketball team starting five African American’s in the national championship game , but there is a different reflection that I see in the film and that is the team that played Texas western ,the Kentucky Wildcats led by Adolph Rupp played by Jon Voight and all his players where white and in the ending credits about him and the school is that they didn’t recruit there first African American basketball player until 1972 and it wasn’t until 1997 that the school hired there first African American head coach , so again it goes back to a society for me in why I made this selection because just like our first reading reflection the society of the white American’s didn’t accept the social change that happens after the civil war and its comparison to the movie and that time period is that Kentucky and other schools like them still didn’t want to accept that there was talent out there in the African American community .

Simpson is the run of your life”- Johnnie Cochran in the people vs OJ Simpson . So for my television selection I selected the American Crime Story season one , The People v OJ Simpson which is about the murder trial of OJ Simpson and how it affects the players involved and the American society as a whole , the main reason why I choice this is as my television selection and going back on the readings not just reading one but all the readings that we talked about over the course of the class and one thing that keeps coming up is how racial divided we still are in this country. Some other of the examples that I want to bring up my first reading reflection which was about the African American community after the civil war and how they were treated by the white population of America but more importantly of how we treat other community and other culture. However, it was this message from Executive producer Brad Simpson which he states “ what crime is America guilty in this event “ which is in my own words they are guilty of still not be able to accept a society and a culture for who they are which leads to a negative outcome in the society of America which is a not guilty verdict because of what the LA riots and the beating of Rodney King which resulted in not guilty verdicts on three white police officers ,most of the America population felt this was payback for what in that case as today we still see the social injustice in America. One final reason why I believe this a perfect example is because of the trial its self which was led by the defense itself which instead of focusing on who did the crime they put the LA police department on trial and made race the center part of the trial.

Why I love Love, Simon

Hello, my Name is Austin Smith Better known as Smoothie Smith. if there is a coming of age book and movie that has made my head explode its Love, Simon and coming from an out and proud gay man myself it’s very rewarding. first, i love this film because it’s something that this community needs because we finally have a story that has a reflection on all LGBTQ people. before i get to my second point i just want to say I believe Nick Robinson is so hot okay back to the movie smoothie ,my second reason is Simon and his parents because i wish i was Simon growing up in a small town in Wisconsin i never got the chance to be myself in high school i came out in college (age 22) but i never got the chance like Simon did but the reaction of my friends that i came out to was “ I WIN THE BET !” and my parents were like this dosen’t change a dam thing . finally, Blue is an important character for me because he is breaking stereotypes left and right he’s gay, African American, and an athlete and i can honestly say that i am proud of that because athletes don’t come out or i don’t see it happening . the reason why i state that about blue is because i am dating a baseball player I could not be more proud of that
