“How on earth did you think you would get away with it, Jimmy?” Support Worker Natalie quizzed the maintenance man after she had caught him helping himself to valuables belonging to the patients who had been admitted that morning. “Didn’t you think Sister Lennox had worked out the patients were only robbed only when you were on the ward, pretending to do some job or the other?” The young man glowered at the dark haired assistant nurse, but could not reply to the young woman even if minded to, because she had gagged him with duct tape after tying him up. His whole capture had been ignominious. When Natalie raised the alarm, Sister Lennox came running. Poor Jimmy tried to escape through a locked door but failed and was restrained by the two women, giving up after a brief struggle. After he was bound, Natalie was left to guard him while the Sister went to call security. “And here was me thinking you kept coming on the ward because you wanted to ask me out!” Natalie laughed ruefully. “Mmmph!” was all the frustrated Jimmy could muster in reply.
