You ever wonder what Hope and Lightning are when they are reborn. I mean any oddities their new bodies must have because of what they went through before. Lightning absorbed enough power to beat God while Hope's soul mingled with God. I feel if we're talking about reincarnations Hope would have the most changed as he was one with God for a while. Who knows what could have been left behind when they were separated.

That’s something I like to explore in my post-LR stories. I’m rather sure that even if Lightning and Hope’s bodies got rid of magic, they still have seen and gone through things no one else has. Like, Light saw the entire timeline from Valhalla and who knows what wonders and horrors; Hope is at an even worse situation because he shared his mind and heart with God for 169 years, and not even mentioning the torture he had to endure. Although I’m convinced they still got magic and stuff, even if they don’t, they’re more than humans at heart. They can’t change what they were part of and what they witnessed. We’re talking about two humans who were chosen to become the new God and Goddess of the new universe. They might rebel, but that can’t change their life experiences. And that’s why I’m convinced they need each other in the new world: no one else could ever aspire to understand what Hope and Lightning are and what they were. Not even their own friends.
