HIII HELLO I HAVE THOUGHTS 👀 so i re-watched rise of red first and it’s less worse than i remember— (im still iffy about the plot holes but i digress)

okay so im just going to assume you’ve also watched wicked wonderland and i’m just going to list out random thoughts i had throughout the movie which also may or may not be in order:

today i learned the one acting as cinderella is also the same one who acted in rodgers & hammersteins cinderella 1997

also red’s little sister being “pink” HAHA like okay,,, colors,,,

also also just realized now why did bridget (red queen) have a british accent when shes older LMAO (and in that sense why do her children have american accents) (is that a descendants wonderland thing, when you’re older you just turn 𝓑𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓼𝓱)

i enjoy that the mad hatter actually became a “MAD” hatter

i loveee that the version of tweedle dee and tweedle dum are the smee twins 😭

okay one thing. luis’s madrigal problem being??? living up to be his strong mother??? but that’s??? against the whole point of encanto??? huh??? and why??? does he have powers like luisa??? like the madrigals are supposed to have unique gifts what did this movie do 😭😭😭

hearing captain hook’s daughter say she ripped off tinkerbell’s wings and say “she can grow them back” is so fucking funny, i love knowing disney fairies lore (i hope theyre referring to the fact tinkerbell has a twin sister that can magically cure their wings when they’re together 😭)

^ also i feel like she’s trying to be a new uma, i cant see her as her own character

i noticed the dance choreo throughout, it’s all really fun (my favorite is the “chess” scene)

wild lore drop that the queen of hearts used to canoodle with gaston calling it her “bad boy phase” im crying

they’re tackling too many relationship arcs at once with red, im having a hard time believing that chloe and red are as close as they are, they barely know each other 😭😭😭 + her relationship with her little sister and also luis—

though i think luis madrigal and queen of hearts’s kid red being together is a crazy pairing i kinda love it, not because it was well fleshed out in any way but bc this level of crossover shipping i can only usually see in fanworks (encanto x alice in wonderland….. gosh)

chessy also just being there just to stir shit up with no other purpose is kinda funny idk that’s very cheshire cat, like obviously not a hero but not exactly a villain either imo

i think overall the descendants charm is still here tho (it doesnt live up to the original three but it’s an okay expansion to wonderland) 2.5/5 i dont really care for it too much but i’ll still watch the next one theyre hinting at 😭
