Jai turned around when he heard someone address him and smiled when he saw a familiar face. They never talked before but he knew her. “Yes. That’s me.” He said with a smile. “Christine was it?”

“Crystal but close.” She smiled not taking any offense to him not knowing her name. “I just figured I should properly introduce myself and take it upon myself to be your welcome back committee.”

Jai got out of the cab, before he went to open the trunk to get his duffel bag. He paid the driver before he turned his gaze towards Aeterno Academy. It’s been a couple of months since he’s been here and he has changed a little bit. His hair was longer and he was sporting a full beard now, which made him look a lot older than he actually was. He spent the past 6 months following his father’s footsteps and kicking some ass. He tried to clear his head and his heart. But now it was time to return and to actually finish school. “It’s good to be back.” He said, more to himself than to anyone else.

Crystal noticed the male exiting the cab. She figured the best was to approach him and welcome him. As she got closer she realized he wasn’t a new face but a familiar one. The two had never spoken when he was lat here but she had seen him in passing and Mike pointed him out at least once or twice. She continued to approach him. 

“Welcome back. You’re Jai Wilson right? Mike’s brother?”

“Looks like you and Jax have that in common” she mused with a smile. She began fiddling with her fingers a bit a bad habit she had gotten when she was nervous “Well I was just gonna ask about you and m- lyja. But it’s a silly idea just ignore it.”

To say Crystal was freaking out would be an understatement. She was frozen stiff Jax’s words not fully processing in her mind. She hadn’t done something like this since the apartment accident, the memory now front and center in her mind. Hands still shaking she just stared for a moment. 

“H-He came out of no where my powers just reacted I-I” Panic began rising in chest.
