nostalgia has this strange way of making the past feel both distant and immediate, like driving past the gas stations where my friends and i would steal cigarettes, sitting by the duck pond where i once let my thoughts drift aimlessly, and meeting old friends who know me as someone i used to be. visiting the 24-hour diner where we all used to gather feels like stepping into a time capsule, the air thick with memories and conversations long past. being here is like being wrapped in a heavy nostalgia blanket, comforting yet full of weight
