Magdalena raised an eyebrow. “I’m waiting for someone here, I can’t really just leave,” she explained.
“Even so, you didn’t have to sit right next to me.”

Magdalena raised an eyebrow. “I’m waiting for someone here, I can’t really just leave,” she explained.
“Even so, you didn’t have to sit right next to me.”
“Now I may not be an expert, but you don’t look like someone that should be alone right now. We don’t have to talk, but know that sometimes it helps to open up to a stranger? I can make you some tea.”
At first Eva just really wanted to be left alone, but as she sat there her head turned to face the young man as she let out a sigh. “Alright-- I guess a cup of tea couldn’t hurt.”
“Is that truly a question? Have you got a spare fork?”
“Fork?” Eva repeated quizzically, looking at the second spoon she had been holding up for Grace, “Is this spoon not good enough?”

“Look, I just want to be alone-- can you see that?” Eva grumbled, not bothering to look at the person who had sat down beside her, “Just go away. Please.”
my last words will probably be sarcastic
“I’m assuming nothing. Even if your life is already difficult, it can continue to be difficult. Everyone has had trials in their life, things that hurt. You don’t get a monopoly on pain,” she said before brushing past her and exiting the building.
“Whatever, puta. Smell ya later,” she rolled her eyes as the blonde stalked off.
“You want to drive me to a different town, just for a donut. You’e my damn hero, let’s go.”
“What would you do without me, huh?” she chuckled, gesturing for him to follow her to her car.
“But she’s your sister…” Dominic scratched his head, confused. He couldn’t imagine not talking to or knowing what his brother was up to. “Oh, no. She never talked to me much as it was.”
“I know! So you’d expect us to be super close, but recently she’s decided that she ‘drags me down with her’ and I really wish there was something I could do to make her feel better... but no luck,” Eva shrugged hopelessly. “Yeah, didn’t think so...”
At the other’s trailing off, Grace guessed that she didn’t want to talk about it much anymore. “No, not really. It’s a bit of a break day for me. Are you doing anything today?”
“To be honest? Probably just finishing up this tub of ice cream. Want to help?” she asked, holding up a second spoon.
“I never claimed to know you.”
“You said I’d have a difficult time in life-- but you don’t know my life. You don’t know if it’s already difficult or not, so I’d rather you stop assuming things.”
“I was just yanking your chain.” Dominic shrugged. “Hey, how’s your sister? I haven’t seen her in a while.”
“Honesty-- neither have I. She’s kept to herself so much recently that I never really got to talk to her much when I did see her. I don’t know why she’s been so distant, but if you can get more than two word answers out of then you’ll be a hero.”
Adam looked over to Eva with a chuckle, shaking his head. “I just really wanted a donut. I guess that’s going to have to wait.”
“There’s a place just the next town over. I can drive you if nothing else in Stillwater is open.”
“What store closes at 3 pm? That’s so stupid.”
“And on this week’s episode of ‘The World is Against Adam Grindelwald’...” she teased, “It’s a weekend though, so stores always close earlier. But I must admit, three is rather too early.”
“You thought I was actually gonna step out shirtless? Wouldn’t want to cause an accident out there.” He joked. “I don’t know, whatever you intended to talk about.”
“It would sure make things interesting around here,” she winked in response to his joke. “Personally, I didn’t really have any matters to attend to-- but now that we’re here... how do you maintain such a great body? Like damn.”
“If you become bitchy just because someone around you is upset and asking for help, then you’re really going to have a difficult time in life.”
“You don’t know me or what my life is like-- so I suggest you back off and keep your opinions about my future to yourself.”
Adeline needed air and she needed it fast. A man had walked into her bar and ordered a drink. He had looked exactly like him. Her soldier. Of course, it hadn’t been. Her soldier had died nearly a century ago but it was too much for her. She liked to think she was over it but she wasn’t. He hadn’t been some guy she had slept with, perhaps had a fleeting affair with and then ended things. He had been torn from her, with no closure. No goodbyes.
When she finally got outside, Adeline, slid down against the nearest wall and sighed, “Fuck this,” She said, reaching for her cigarettes and lighter from her pocket and trying to light one. Unfortunately she was shaking too much to even get the lighter to work, “Fuck, fuck, fuck!”
Eva had been minding her own business when she heard soft sounds of struggle coming from a short distance. Out of curiosity, she approached the noise to see a rather emotional brunette struggling with lighting her cigarette. Feeling rather friendly today, Eva approached her whilst pulling her lighter out of her pocket, clicking it to spark a flame, “Here you go, babe,” she offered, gesturing for the girl to put the cigarette in her mouth as she lit the end of it.
