Service...What is it?

Recently we’ve seen an increase in the number of  Sirs, Doms and Masters.  (Oh My!) But where did this increase come from?  In a more traditional sense, these incoming D-Types could be submissives who have reached a level in their mentorship where they are able to explore being more dominate.  Sadly I don’t think this is the reason.  

WHY SO MANY DAMN DOMS?!?!

I’m a dom, you’re a dom, we’re all doms!  But let’s be honest, I feel there are a lot of D-types out there that may look at the life of your typical Poly Master & Slave dynamics.  This is a dynamic where you have have the Master and a collection of slaves.  With the use of amazing marketing, this type of dynamic can be found to be appealing to so many regardless if they’re a dom or sub.  

The downside is we see people copying a relationship and believing it to be the only way.  I think what makes it worse, is when the relationship being copied isn’t really the healthiest relationship.  This can lead to doms (D-types) neglecting, mistreating, and abusing their submissives.   

DOMS ARE RESPONSIBLE..

Yes.  It sounds like a pretty simple concept.  Someone is signing their life over to you, therefore, you should take responsibility for that life.  Yet, from so many stories, some personal and some not, Doms are not taking that responsibility seriously.  Dropping a sub with no reason and cutting them off completely with no closure is not acceptable.  Abusing a submissive because you like to see them cry is not acceptable.  Making a submissive participate in dangerous activities in order to have people made in your own image is not acceptable.  

EDUCATE EDUCATE EDUCATE

Doms, you need to do some research and learn what it means to be a Dom.  Talk to elders in the leather / BDSM/ and Kink communities.  Read some great books that can help.  Don’t create an entire dynamic off of what you see one person doing on social media.  Typically, they will only post the good things and you won’t get to see any of the mess that can take place behind the scenes. 

Subs, do some research on the person who you are giving control to.  Don’t fall for the pretty eyes or great smile.  Learn about them.  Ask other folks who they are as a person and as a dom.  I’ve made that mistake and fell into a dynamic with a “Sir” who dropped me and sent me on a long journey of rediscovering who I was as a person.  So subs, please GET….THOSE….REFERENCES.   Remember, YOU The Submissive, have the power in the dynamic.  You ultimately have the pick of who you want to give the power to.  You can speak up and say No.  Don’t let some internet dom tell you otherwise.

Why don’t you post more often

I do enjoy tumblr for what it is. That being said most of my time is spent at work, spending time with my partner, playing video games, and various hobbies. The photo sets I post are usually a collection of pictures taken over a span of about 4-6 months. :)
