I sincerely apologize to the depths of my soul.
I was crying...😭🫢
Last time, I put forward a theory about TT, and I would like to supplement what was not included there.
I can't say that this is the second part, but I've collected a few more notes. In fact, as I went through the game over and over and over again, I noticed more and more references, suggestive of different thoughts, if you can call it that. The only conclusion I came to is that Neko is a genius, hah... because even from the fifth time there are doubts that u understood what was happening correctly...
It's still a mystery to us what kind of pink tent is in the circus, but nevertheless, the fools are also dressed in pink and it may be appropriate just with this. If TT was the person in the cafe who gave us the pink ticket (this is an assumption, we don't know for sure), then the pink ticket is the right to enter the pink tent.
If we follow a scenario where we are open to suggestions, then in any case we encounter TT on day 2.
After we bump into Carol, we talk to TT. He doesn't believe our words, offering to escort us to the exit, but he points in the other direction. Did he suggest that we go to the pink tent? Why? And to better understand the answer to this question, you need to ignore Pierrot at the beginning of the game. (It was so difficult for me.. my sweetheart...)
In this scenario, we only get a pink ticket at the cafe, and we have no way to refuse. At the entrance, we are also told that this is a special ticket, but eventually, once in the pink tent, we are eliminated.
In addition, we won't see the eyes in the cafe, and we'll miss the scene with the lights going out and the shadow appearing in the window. In my opinion, this is because if we didn't pay attention to Pierrot at the beginning, we didn't draw attention to ourselves either, because we passed as if nothing had happened.
It turns out that we are being watched only in the case of interaction. Nevertheless, the person in the cafe (presumably TT) gives us a ticket to go to the pink tent, where we will be eliminated. Thank you, isn't that rude?(just kidding).
If he saw that we were paying attention to Pierrot, he could have done it as a preventive measure so that things didn't go too far. But we have the option not to accept the ticket, thereby causing consequences, including the appearance of eyes in the cafe.
So when we met with Carol, he invited us to go to the pink tent, because we saw too much. He even told Pierrot that the MC looked like they'd found out about the part of the circus they weren't showing. These were his attempts not only to observe us, but also to protect the territory from the possible threat that we potentially pose to the circus.
He might also have wanted to do this to us because we were Carol's colleagues, were close to her, and might have suspected something was wrong. Although it seems a little strange to me, because targeting two people from the same place would not be very logical... Boss would probably be upset / :(
Pay attention to TT's eyes. I missed it in the previous post, but it's his other eye (the shadow side) that lights up when he talks to us. I think this is also an indicator of the possible ability it activates, and a confirmation of the previous theory. His eye literally lights up and goes out immediately when Pierrot approaches. (I think Pierrot also wanted to make it clear that we're his, that he's watching over us, and that we're harmless in a way, I don't know if that's the right way to put it.) Is this a hint that he uses the other eye only in certain situations or not? I don't know...
And he also asked Pierrot, "Is she with you?". My omission in the last post. But! He told him to give us a ticket or he would offer his own. No, he will have to! Which again refers us to the fact that if we hadn't come to the circus again, after seeing what was happening, we wouldn't just have aroused suspicion, we would have been a walking problem.
I was also attracted by the scene with the black tent. It's probably some kind of common room or a place where they gather, but I'm not sure. At first, I had a hunch that it might have been related to other monsters altogether, as the crowd looks strange and their eyes... But I don't think that's really the case. Even if I faintly marked the black tent as a dining room with a pencil. (JK again)
Eventually, we see their tickets and TT watches closely to make sure we don't enter. By the way, Pierrot is watching us from afar, as promised, which in my opinion may also indicate that he does not need a shadow for these purposes. He could look at us calmly through the window in the cafe (which he did) and not use the illusion with his eyes.
Ahem, sorry, I got distracted. So what are we talking about? Yes, the black tent. We find Jester and TT talking, where they are obviously discussing a bag, the reference is most likely to the news on the first day and about the missing woman, whose belongings were found... And suddenly they turn and look at us. I'm sure that since they're not human, they have heightened senses, they probably see, hear, and smell better, but I also assume that at that moment they found out that we were near the tent in another way.
I can't think of a better way to describe their relationship, but I have a suspicion that they can use their powers in tandem, perhaps both Jester and TT have a deep connection with the circus not as a place, but as something alive.
Later, in the purple tent, Jester and MC will talk, and as I mentioned, he will ask for our ticket, as if he doesn't know what color it is. And he will say that he noticed a shadow above us, although if we assume that he saw us from a black tent, then what was it for?
Let's go back to TT's tent. He said that mirrors show more than they should, and here it is worth noting the mirror with Pierrot. At the moment of his monologue, we can see a shadow with golden eyes appear (the one that Jester saw, the one that we saw in the comic).
We also hear "I see you," which is presumably what the shadow is saying. But what's going on here? Is this shadow hostile? Or is the shadow trying to protect us? Or maybe it's not talking to us, but to Pierrot? But if the shadow is connected to him, then why is he throwing a knife at it? Why is he doing this in the first place? I had an idea that he might have been afraid that the longer we stood in front of the mirror, the more we would see, and he didn't want us to be afraid of his true face or what the shadow was. This is just one of the assumptions.
But could it be a real shadow? Further, in a conversation with TT, you can notice a few more things that raise questions. Was he in those mirrors? Was there a part of him in the mirror during the conversation? And also, when we try to turn around, when we feel that someone or something is touching us, TT says that he cannot hurt us. Because he's not real in front of us, but just an illusion? Or is it because we have a red ticket that closely connects us to Pierrot?
And by the way, the knife was really left in the mirror. Can you say the real Pierrot threw him there, then he was in the tent? Or was it Pierrot's shadow? Oh, it's hard to develop this idea, because there's another broken mirror there... and there are so many branches where there are only questions... Then maybe TT was talking to Pierrot, who was standing behind us? Or just with his shadow, I'll repeat it for the hundredth time, I'm sorry. (What if it was Pierrot in his true (non-human) form? omg I give up)
When we go forward to Columbina's mirror, we will doubt whether it is exactly a mirror.
And then I left again to untangle the tangle of my thoughts, because... Could TT's tent have held back the shadow? Or even shadows, more correctly. What if it's mirrors that give them the ability to look like people? Not without the help of Jester and TT, of course. But I think there really could be something much more confusing than it seems...
Honestly, I had to take a break because it felt like I was looking at a translucent wall, but damn it, I couldn't see what was behind it... Again... as always... And as soon as I thought, "Yeah, so that's how it is!" I immediately thought, "Wait.. Or is it wrong? It's there.. Oh, but it could be like that..." Also, I can't keep quiet and not say that my file was going crazy while I was collecting frames and text... I wish I could pin it here, it was creepy.
Aaand if u have seen theories from someone that reveal my assumptions in more detail, text me, it is very interesting to read! Thanks ^^
I saw a question about eyes in a cafe and this question made me try the game over again... But I might still have missed some details, so I'm sorry, it's just a theory!
I didn't know how to structure the description better, so I'll just describe it in parts. I'll also attach screenshots and number them to make it easier. And I'm sorry if there are mistakes somewhere, I spent a lot of time trying to figure it out, so I didn't edit the text. (I've already done it, but still...)
First, about the comic. According to Neko, the events described there happened a quite a long time ago, when our beloved ones were just figuring out how everything was tripled in the circus.
The details that I tried to put together:
At the beginning of the dialogue, TT said "it's too early" when Pierrot's performance began, and as I understand it, it was an offer not to interfere.
Pierrot's words are "a king is never truly alone." (I didn't pay much attention, but I read it in the comments, so I reviewed it too)
I may be very wrong, but if we delve into the details, perhaps the classic Commedia dell'arte performance is being taken here. The history of Commedia dell'arte is quite long, and if you are interested, you can read for yourself about the performances at the court of the king and how masks were eventually replaced with only flour (barboulier), which, by the way, also takes place, but here you need to write a separate theory, so... haha...
The king was not a regular character, so most likely it just meant that his troupe was always with him, however, some sources mention that it was Harlequin (or Jester) who was often around him. He was hardly hinting at a shadow, but it could also be, why not?
We see how the colors of Pierrot's replicas change from yellow to red. And as we know from the comic, that's why he was forbidden to talk. In addition, in one of the AMAs (if I remember correctly), Neko mentioned that Pierrot does not have the ability to control shadows or something like that, this is important! At the moment of their dialogue after the incident in the tent, he snaps at Harlequin, and he seems to be pierced by the sound (and he hints again, saying "damn, that voice").
A dialogue from a comic where Harlequin said he could stop him. Here is one of the key points that caught my attention. We see Pierrot's shadow stretching and we see the same hand with claws that will be mentioned many times. And at that moment TT looks out onto the stage. (Screenshot 1)
The first theory. I've been thinking about how to explain this for a long time, but I'll call it the dualism of TT's nature. I think his abilities are much more than they seem. In particular, I think that he could be the one who looks at the MC in the cafe, but more on that later. In his tent, we can see how deftly he handles the "illusion". But is it an illusion? Or maybe it's just a shadow? (Screenshot 2) Come to think of it, he greets the guests at the entrance, and also manages to control the mirrored tent? It's like he's splitting up, or maybe even at that moment we have several TTs or those that pretend to be him.
Jester most likely has the ability to control consciousness or behavior, judging by the fact that he stops Pierrot at the moment of their conversation with Harlequin. In any case, his eyes are the source of his power. And yes, it really looks like what was in the tent and cafe. (Screenshot 3) But since we were told that attention should be paid not to him, but to someone else, let's move on, lol… So could it be TT? In the comic, Jester mentions that Bil can manage tents. Could he have the ability to observe the situation in several places at once? His eyes are of different colors, one blue, the other white, and this can be noticed many times, whether in a cafe (assuming that he is a guest with a pink ticket), in a tent, in the stories in the circus, as well as in the final scene on the street, I will attach {screenshot 4} with a collage. Could his other eye just indicate that he sees more? But even so, don't forget "Don't trust what your eyes see." ТТ(с) He's a good illusionist, and it can be done just to confuse us as an MC. His mask is also the only one divided into two parts. One part represents light, the other shadow...? Or maybe TT can awaken the shadow side of others? (as in the case of Pierrot, for example)
You can also notice that when we bump into Carol, he immediately turns up next to us, it was hardly in the plans of anyone from the circus that we would meet with her. Nevertheless, TT adjusts her mask right there, but maybe it's not him, but one of his illusions?
In general, it feels like they're all watching us, so it's not surprising xd
UPD: In the first edit, I missed the moment when TT said "I'll keep an eye on you as well" on the screenshot7, which means there might be someone else... a shadow associated with Pierrot?
UPD: Another VERY important point that I somehow missed the first time and did not add to the post. This is screenshot 4.1, Pierrot's words that HE saw that we were looking at Carol, and at that moment TT was talking to us. So I think this theory has a place to be. Or...?
Why else do I think it could be TT. Based on the dialogues on the street and in the circus. Harlequin on the street wanted to see our ticket and was surprised, "so Pierrot gave it to you?".
Also, if you don't eat at the circus and only meet with Pierrot in the evening, you will get on the line with Harlequin, where he will also say that he is surprised that Pierrot talked to us. (Screenshot 6)
And Jester in the tent also asked to see the ticket, which indicates that they probably weren't near Pierrot that day. Besides, I don't think if they were around, they would let anyone hurt him. TT, on the contrary, reacted calmly to the red ticket (although we know from the dialogue with Jester that Pierrot is giving his ticket to someone for the first time), and TT was not surprised, as if he already knew it. (Screenshot 5)
However, the conversation with Jester again brings us back to the shadow we talked about in the comic. (Screenshot 7) He just said that he noticed it, and then there was the phrase "fear makes you see monsters where there are only shadows." Can we put the facts together and say that, for example, TT has the ability not to control shadows, but to give them a physical appearance on the circus grounds? Then this could explain why he said not to let anyone leave at the time of Pierrot's performance (after all, only in the circus can he use his strength), why Jester saw a shadow looming over MC in the circus, and why TT was talking to the illusion in his tent. Maybe an illusion is some kind of entity that plays with shadows, and TT just has power over this entity? (or maybe, theoretically, it could have been Columbina's shadow absorbed by him? It's unlikely, of course, but let it be a note)
In addition, there is a dialogue in the hidden scene.
Jester: Keep an eye on our visitor, will you?
TT: With pleasure, Jester.
Jester: Harlequin. I know where your eyes are. Don’t make me remind you, don’t break the rules.
I just wanted to reinforce my assumption about TT, but then Jester throws in this phrase about Harlequin's eyes and I almost go crazy, lmao... because wherever we are, he finds us anyway, if you think about it. But TT is also watching us! OMG
Is it possible to draw here that the "visitor" is again because we are in the circus? He could just say "keep an eye on -name-," as if it were in a cafe. But I don't like this particular assumption. As for Harlequin, you can just say that Jester warned him not to look at MC in a dirty way, but it depends on how you look at it... haha...
I also had thoughts that Pierrot's shadow and voice were related, but there is much less evidence. Just like the confirmation of the Harlequin's ability. Perhaps I should do the second part of the analysis, where I will consider more... in the end, it's difficult for me to organize everything at once, I have a lot of screenshots and a separate file with dialogues, haha... I hope someone reads this and can add conclusions that I didn't notice!
UPD: I have corrected smth in the text...
