Playing around in build/buy modes. So much versatility, yet there are limitations.

I started with a teenager. It's the youngest life state for a single household.

I am not enjoying the controls at all. The mouse controls are backwards to me. I'll either get it, or shitcan the whole game.

The people don't sit properly in chairs and sink into the floors when rising from chairs.

Too much clipping with objects. Ugh!

Didn't play around too much.

A whole new aesthetic to take in.

The controls will take time getting used to.

With just 2 pieces we can create a lot variations of sofas. Remember, these armchairs are modular, meaning they support an infinite number of variations and sizes, including concave and convex corners. This project is inspired by the Project Rene concept to The Sims 3.

Seat and armrest are separate and interchangeable.

I plan to release these sofas next month, along with a file to hide the Default sofas in the game, since my intention is to convert all sofas to this system. Obviously, using the mod to hide them will be optional. ^^

4to3 simkoos IKEA Collection

Presenting...the largest set I've ever converted!

📌 Some important notes:

The DUNDERGUBBE box has 5 presets, only one is CAStable.

The FRAKTA bag is not CAStable, left it like that since IKEA only has blue and yellow as its bag color (also, the mask would be difficult to make - yeah, yeah I admit I'm lazy lol).

The JÄTTESTA shelf unit is almost as high as a full wall, so a slightly shorter version is also included, which has same height as the EKENABBEN shelf.

The KALAS utensils (except for the cutlery) are stackable.

The KLUNKA laundry basket is functional, so you need either Ambitions, Town Life, University, or any of the store hampers to function properly.

The XL rug has a total of 36 presets, so they are divided into two sets of 18 presets each (idk if it's just me but I can't imagine scrolling across presets that plenty lol).

These items have a reasonable polycount for gameplay (highest was around 2k+)

Since this a large set, I've also included a collection file (aisquared4to3simkoosIKEA_COLLECTION.package) to put in the Collections folder.

📌 Items not converted...(and reasons why)

UPPLAND seating set: looks a lot like the EKTORP set, which can be found here, here, and here.

POANG armchair: already converted here and here.

JULES chair: already converted here, here, and here.

MALM dressing table (with mirror): no need to be converted since a separate mirror could just be placed on top of the empty dressing table (also there are no functional vanity tables in TS3), and while I attempted to convert the separate mirror I couldn't get the reflections right so as a workaround I just edited a TS3 mirror to make it look like the TS4 counterpart.

FAMNIG HJÄRTA cushion: already converted here and here

UNDERHÅLLA blocks: would have wanted to make it functional, but I haven't any way around making toys, maybe next time I'll give it a try.

After Bella's mysterious disappearance, Mortimer moved across town with Cassandra and Alexander.

Finished the kitchen reno. I am not a huge fan of the hickory, but it'll do.

Removed the stove and replaced it with a cabinet and cooktop.

Added a range hood above the cooktop where the microwave was (the prior owner had melted the interior of the microwave, so we had to replace it anyway).

Replaced the countertop with black quartz and an undermount sink in champagne[ish].

Added a tall cabinet with wall oven and microwave between the dishwasher and pantry cabinet.

Turned the island 90 degrees.

Changed the flush ceiling lights above the island for the pendants.

Replaced the dining table light to match the pendants.

Replaced the dishwasher and Refrigerator.

I would've loved a window over the sink, but it would look out into the garage.

We're contemplating a backsplash, but the tile we [want] is quite expensive and we will be bank poor (haha) after the laundry room reno (already bought new washer and dryer [the old ones were very, very, VERY LOUD]).

University Life Object Tweaks

Decluttered, resized, and repurposed, here's a set of edits on select University Life objects.

Melville and Milk Crates Bookshelf 1x1

Resized to 1x1 to fit in smaller homes. Two CAStable channels, costs §195. Functional as a bookshelf with working geostates. Found in Storage > Bookshelves.

The crate is also separated into a working surface and also made stackable. Has one channel, costs §25. Found in Surfaces > End tables, Displays, Misc. Renamed "Justa Crate" in game.

Two-tiered Single Desk

Decluttered "Frequency Fun Mobile Radio Station" remade into a desk. Has four channels and 16 slots. Costs §175. Found in Surfaces > Desks.

Quacklit Lampless

"Quacklit Lamp" made as a decor item with the lamp part removed. Has one channel. Costs §50, found in Decor > Sculptures, Misc. Renamed into "Quack-Un-lit" in game.

Well Well Well.. It seems my windowless towers helped me think outside the box and find an interesting solution!

A small update today: I fixed the exterior appearance of the dining hall near the Hogwarts staircase and added a new plot for the herbology class (did I get the name right?).

My version of Hogwarts combines elements from the Harry Potter films and the Hogwarts Legacy game version. Every day that passes I'm more pleased with the results I've achieved with these buildings <3
