The Taming of the Rogue
“Ugh, good riddance.” Kyouko scowled, watching the doll-faced familiar wither away at the tip of her spear. Without even waiting for the labyrinth to disappear completely, the weary magical girl slumped down on the ground and transformed back. Slipping a pocky into her mouth, Kyouko mumbled to herself, “They need to stop harassing me, that was the eighth one tonight…”
Kyouko closed her eyes and relaxed. The magical girl has been running into such an unusual number of familiars in the past seven days, and it has been quite straining on her. Surreal familiars, hyper-realistic familiars; speedy familiars, sluggish familiars; three familiars, five familiars, sometimes all at once too. In fact, it seemed a lot like they were hunting her; they were getting awfully aggressive. It certainly didn’t help that the few witches bearing grief seeds left in the city are avoiding her.
Something didn’t feel right. The air felt both warm and chilly against Kyouko’s skin. It was getting so humid that water vapors were clinging onto her, and yet it felt so dry her skin might break apart at any moment. And worse of all, the magical girl can feel her soul gem warning her of a nearby witch. To confirm her suspicion, Kyouko opened her eyes, and by golly was the warning right: she was already in a labyrinth.
It was a rather dark barrier, but it wasn’t like the shadow witch’s from before. The silent mist gliding over the bleak terrain made it quite clear that this world had a physical manifestation, and was not just a pitch-black void. Kyouko could hear a strange rhythmic chanting off in the distance accompanied by the sound of orderly, muffled footsteps. That was probably coming from the familiars, but thankfully, they won’t be the ones fighting her this time; Kyouko can already feel the witch approaching her.
Transforming quickly and summoning her spear, the redhead braced herself for the creature’s arrival. It had been too long since she’s had a grief seed, and she was all too eager to finally be able to harvest one. The witch was approaching rather slowly, her form hidden away in the mist, which looked a lot more like steam when around her, making it easy to track her movement. Not being able to see her target was a little bit unnerving, but Kyouko remained undaunted, determined to make a quick work of this one. That determined focus shattered as soon as the witch emerged from the steamy mist.
“Wh-Who the hell are you!?” Kyouko yelled, recoiling from the strange adversary and keeping her spear pointed at her face. But that didn’t feel right, considering how the witch’s face looked exactly like her own: the same eyes, the same nose, the same smug smirk. “Are you some kind of a… m-mimic!?”
The witch seemed pleased with the poor magical girl’s confusion, and chuckled to herself. Then, in the same voice as Kyouko’s, she responded, much to her surprise that a witch can even talk, “Of course I’m not; I’m Ophelia.” Brushing a strand of her long hair, the same hair on Kyouko’s head, out of her face, she grinned proudly, “I certainly hope you enjoyed all those familiars I’ve been sending your way.”
Kyouko gasped, then scowled. This witch was clearly mocking her, harassing her for this long and now revealing herself looking exactly like her, except for the rather fancy red kimono she donned and the elaborate hair accessories that she would never wear. Gripping her spear more tightly, the redhead growled, “You bitch, I’m going to make you pay for that!”
She charged towards Ophelia, who looked too relaxed to be braced for combat. Taking advantage of the situation, she segmented her spear and swung it towards her target with as much force as she could muster. The magical girl wanted this to be over as soon as possible. Much to her dismay, however, the attack didn’t connect.
The witch jumped up at the last moment with surprising agility, unhindered by her extravagant clothing, and landed on a segment of the spear for a split second before launching herself up into the air. She was able to twist herself through the air and land on her feet right behind Kyouko, who unsuccessfully tried to swing the spear back in time to block. The momentum that the giant spear carried gave Ophelia enough time to slam a palm into Kyouko’s back, sending her flying forward.
The most painful part of that perhaps wasn’t impact to her back, weakening both her arms, nor was is it her landing on the ground with her spear tangled around her arms, but the searing mark the attack had left on her back. The witch’s touch was as hot as molten iron, and it left the spot on Kyouko’s back feeling like it had just been branded. Groaning in pain, Kyouko quickly scrambled back onto her feet and reconnected her spear. Now that she knew what she was dealing with, she knew she had to avoid Ophelia’s touch.
“How’d you like that new mark on your back?” Ophelia jeered, bearing no signs of her extreme body heat on her skin, “Maybe I should have aimed a bit lower and gave you a tramp stamp instead, yeah?”
Kyouko’s face was growing as red as the spot on her back out of anger. Not being able to find anything to say to the witch, she simply growled and charged forward again, determined to impale her doppelganger. As she approached her target, she lunged forward, thrusting her spear towards Ophelia’s chest. But suddenly, she felt a new grip on her spear, followed by it being yanked out of her hand.
The magical girl stumbled and fell on all fours after she was suddenly disarmed. The witch had thrown her sleeve out, caught the spear with it, and somehow pulled it out of Kyouko’s grasp. Before, Kyouko had planned on launching herself upwards after the charge in case Ophelia tried jumping again, but she hadn’t expected such a maneuver that she’s only seen on TV before.
Before Kyouko could crawl back up, Ophelia landed a foot on the back of her head, stomping her face into the ground. Grinding her stingingly hot heel into her head, the witch cackled in triumph, “I know every move you’d make before you make it, Kyouko, don’t think that you can win by using those predictable moves on me!”
Groaning in pain, Kyouko tried to recollect her strength. Feeling the heel burning into her head being removed was a relief, albeit a temporary one. Almost immediately afterwards, she felt the witch’s bare foot hitting her forehead and and the impact launching her into the air. It only took a brief moment for her to land on her back and the impact to sap what’s left of her strength from her body.
Kyouko’s head was pounding, and the kick left nothing short of the burning of a bullet wound and a trickle of blood dancing down her face. If she wasn’t feeling so weak, the stinging burns from Ophelia would have caused her adrenaline to continue running, perhaps giving her enough strength to call up her magic to heal her concussion, but now she just felt like her body was engulfed in the heat of a sauna.
The defeated magical girl weakly looked up, only to see a blurry view of the victorious witch growing bigger. Unable to keep her head up any longer, she fell back and closed her eyes. What felt like a burning rage within her from before now simply felt like embers crumbling into ash. This should have been the end of her, but it wasn’t.
Feeling the anguish from her soul gem being sapped, Kyouko opened her eyes again and squinted. By the time her eyes finally focused enough for her to see what’s going on, Ophelia had already hid away the grief seed from her chest. Instead of feeling hope or relief, she simply felt weak. Kyouko muttered, “You’re just keeping me alive so you can kick me around, aren’t you…?”
The witch drew close to Kyouko’s face, the heat radiating off of her causing Kyouko to perspire, and whispered, “You got that right, Kyouko Sakura. You had better be prepared to become my bitch.”
And with that, Ophelia pulled away and grabbed Kyouko by her collar. Without hesitation, she balled her right hand into a fist and struck her across the face with it, leaving a bright red mark accompanied with a purple patch. Not giving the poor girl a moment to recover, she struck her again and again, filling the empty labyrinth with the rhythmic sound of loud thuds and broken yelps.
The poor girl could do naught but endure the pain. Every time Ophelia struck her, the pain would resonate through her head and her vision would go out temporarily, though the vision loss seem to last slightly longer with every strike. Kyouko could hear a sickening crunch as her nose shattered and as a tooth or two got torn out by the roots from the impact. Those, along with accidentally biting her tongue while being struck, ended up filling her mouth and covering her chin with blood. It certainly didn’t help that the combination of Ophelia putting extra weight on her diaphragm by straddling her and the scorching heat radiating from the witch was making it really difficult for Kyouko to breathe, if having a broken nose hadn’t made it difficult enough already.
By the time Ophelia had stopped, the left side of the magical girl’s face was barely recognizable. A large splotch of sickening purple, black, and red stretched from her cheek to her forehead, and her cheek was swollen so badly it looked as if it would burst at any moment, despite blood already oozing from cracks on it. Her left eye was hidden away by the swelling and the bleeding, but there was no doubt that that eye was no longer functional. The hideous injuries extended past Kyouko’s left temple and to her ear, both swollen and bleeding. Her ability to hear from that ear was doubtful at this point, considering the severity of the trauma. The beating probably would have incapacitated Kyouko if it wasn’t for the fact that the heat from Ophelia’s fists had killed the nerve endings in the area.
“You look absolutely pathetic, Kyouko Sakura.” The witch sneered, pinching her bruised cheek and twisting it, snickering at the poor girl’s whimpering. Upon noticing Kyouko’s feeble hand reaching towards her soul gem, Ophelia grabbed her by the wrist and twisted it backwards until it laid limp at a disturbingly unnatural angle, ignoring her cry of pain, which sounded more like a gargle with the blood clogging up her throat. Glaring at the broken magical girl, Ophelia muttered, “You’re not making your way out of this one so easily, you spineless bitch. You’re going to live through everything I’m going to do to you, whether you enjoy it or not.”
Absolutely terrified and hopeless, Kyouko felt her tears ooze out from her eyes, only to burn her possibly infected wounds. Once again, unfortunately, Ophelia cleansed her soul gem with her grief seed. The magical girl didn’t know how much longer her soul gem would last. It felt like every time it was cleaned, it simply dirties faster. Perhaps not even a clean soul gem could rid of her of her grief.
Just then, Kyouko felt Ophelia’s scorching hands at her chest, ripping away the top part of her dress with her claw-like hands. She whimpered and closed her eye, afraid to fight back. She felt so weak and helpless, allowing such a monster to grab at her chest and leave bright red burn marks all over it. The heat emanating through her torso from Ophelia’s hand was causing her to sweat even more and her heart to beat even faster, and it only got worse when the witch began pinching at her nipples, forcing a small moan out of her lips.
Ophelia was thoroughly enjoying the reactions she was getting out of her prey. The more she touched her, the more roused Kyouko looked, and the more roused Kyouko looked, the more excited Ophelia was getting. Soon, as soon as the beaten girl began panting and gasping for air, Ophelia moved down to her groins and began tearing apart what was left of the dress there. As soon as the soaked white panties Kyouko wore was revealed, Ophelia tore it away and licked her lips. Grabbing her by the thighs, leaving red hand marks on them, the witch propped her groin up and pushed her legs back, and went down on her.
Kyouko yelped as soon as she felt the searing tongue lapping at her crotch. As if her shoulders and neck being forced to support her entire body weight and her back and behind being burnt against the witch’s body wasn’t bad enough, now her most sensitive area was subject to the torment. She was already encased her burns, but now the unholy heat was entering her through the one spot she didn’t want to be entered from, and she wanted to cry. She had never given thought to what would happen if her privates were to receive this kind of treatment, and she was afraid. Small sobs escaped her throat, only to sound like raspy coughs accompanied by moans of either pain or pleasure, or both.
The poor girl could feel the salamander of a tongue prowl around inside her, leaving her the sensation of being torn apart from within. Her hips bucked whenever she felt it flicker against her clit, the stimulation sending a small heatwave up her body. Everytime the witch’s hair brushed against her thighs and legs, webs of burn marks would be left on her. Soon enough, Kyouko could no longer hold back her moans; they were escaping her mouth erratically in choruses broken by her gasping for air.
Her body wouldn’t stop shaking, and her heart felt like it was about to burst out of her chest. Her one functional eye was having trouble telling colours apart, let alone focus. Though her soul was already separate from her body, Kyouko felt like she had lost control over it. And just as her soul gem clouded up, Ophelia would reveal her grief seed and sap away the darkness, every time. There was nothing Kyouko could do; she was nothing more than the witch’s toy at this point.
---
Ophelia slowly pulled away from the toy’s groin and licked her lips, letting go of its legs. Grinning proudly at her handiwork, she lay down on the twitching body and gave the bruised face a kiss: a witch’s kiss that left a bright red mark.
Holding the ragdoll’s face in her hands, Ophelia stared into its glazed-over eyes and whispered, “You’re mine, Kyouko Sakura. You’ll feed me all the despair I need to grow stronger, and you’ll do it for as long as I am around.”
Pressing her grief seed against its dull soul gem, the witch cooed, “You should be grateful, Kyouko Sakura. You actually serve a higher purpose now, and you get to do it for all eternity…”

"But of course, my dear. Hold still for a moment. There should be a brief tingling sensation, and then language barriers will cease to exist."
Keldor rose, and walked over to Homura, placing two fingers on her forehead. He focused his will upon the spell, and after a few second, the magical energies surged through her mind, and then settled. And then it was done.
"There. Now crushing all who oppose you will be all the easier. I truly cannot wait to see what you have in store for your world next, my dear. It should be truly spectacular to behold. Hahaha!"
Was that really it? That was the spell? Well, while it wasn't as fancy as Homura would like it to be, it was certainly convenient. Homura wasn't sure she felt any different, but then again, that wasn't how that language spell worked; others will be the one perceiving the changes.
"Yes, yeees...! This will be instrumental in my domination of this world! I will not disappoint, old man, you'll see me on top of this world very soon!" The villain cackled a new laughter she has never heard out of herself before. Perhaps this truly will be a grand beginning...
(I'm sorry I"m not being very active, some things are going on right now)
{A Game of Cycles } - :The Villain's Deput:
The bullets pierced the veil of black sludge that covered Shisho’s body, burying themselves deep within the darkness, some lost forever in the choking shroud, while others find their way into the flesh deep beneath. Shisho’s grin did not disippear, but instead grew marginally wider. He was enjoying this.
Curling up as he hit the ground he felt the embrace of time once more, as it threw itself upon him again, this time more prepared than before. He became sluggish, and slow, but he would not freeze like the rest of the world did. He was being dragged against the current, as he brought the bloodied crimson trickle to his large grin and allowed his tongue to run along the edge.
“Once we’re together. You’ll have no pain. No fear. Just the cold embrace of eternity, and the thrill of the kill. As you may have guessed… “I”… Am more than one." This was why time had such a difficult grip on him. Men, women, children, animals, all creatures from different cycles burdened with the cold reality of their fate, had accepted the inevitable madness, and joined the swarm that was the consciousness of Shisho. All realities converged on him, all the things he had spent so long devouring, sinking further and further into the darkness. Becoming the ruler of the cycles. No one challenged this proud figure of insanity.
No one. Not even another villain. Snaking forward like a serpent through the forest of time and space, his claws ready to rend flesh and tear meat, jaws opening and closing ever so slightly in anticipation of a fresh meal, the bullets still raking his flesh as time finally lost it’s handle. He shot forward, through the stream of bullets, claws once more outstretched to rip straight through flesh and bone. He moved so easily across rubble, putting the consciousness of so many dogs, cats and other creatures to use, moving like the perfect killer he was, occasionally vanishing into holes in the ground and emerging a split second later somewhere else, trying to avoid the raking hail of bullets.
Then, he was in front of her, and his claws came down on her weapon, slicing the barrel in two, and then smacking the remains away so there was nothing between him and his kill. “Your move… Let’s see how you handle close combat.” He was anxious to see how she did.
This strange monster could easily devour her bullets like nothing! First explosives have no effect, then time magic proves to be nothing but a snare, and now bullets as well? Homura was running short on ideas quick, and she was growing desperate. These were all of offensive capabilities the villain had, and none of them were effective against this monster.
Homura couldn't give up here, though. Even if her magic does little to protect her, even if her entire stash of guns and explosives prove to be useless, even if her own combat capabilities are weak, she had to keep on fighting. The villain can't show weakness, not to her first major adversary.
"Hmph. don't you dare taunt me, you abomination!" Homura growled, trying not to sound desperate or afraid. Loading up her limbs with magic, she began thrashing out rather uncharismatically, displaying an obvious lack of training in close combat.

Keldor grinned at his pupil, clearly pleased at the results of her efforts. He looked down at the blueprints, studying them as he spoke.
"Excellent work, my dear. I am very proud of your achievements. You will surely be remembered for all time as the Terror of Japan. Keep this up, and you may very well be remembered as the Terror of the World. As for the language barrier, I believe I can provide a more expedient solution, and not just for your plans against Korea. It is called a a Spell of Tongues, and it allows you to comprehend any spoken language. Even more beneficial, it allows you to be understood by your listeners as if you were speaking in whatever language they are most familiar with. It is how we are communicating so easily right now. I imagine I sound as if I am speaking Japanese, whereas to my ears, you are speaking fluent Eternian."
Keldor then pointed to several key support structures on the blueprints.
"If I am reading these blueprints correctly, I believe that you can achieve best results by placing your charges on these areas. If all of them are destroyed simultaneously, it should result in a catastrophic loss in structural integrity that will cause the entire building to collapse almost instantly. All that is required is selecting a time to carry out the attack which will ensure the maximum number of potential casualties."
Such a powerful spell... Homura had never thought of such a thing before. It sounded like something a magical girl could wish for, but this was a lot more convenient. Not to mention, up until now, Homura hadn't realized how preposterous it was for such a strange skeleton to speak fluent Japanese. He probably didn't even have a tongue left in that cranium.
"Hmm, indeed. It would make a grand debut for me in the outside countries. It would bring my name far and wide. It would make the world fear me. If my success is great enough, perhaps I can even demand... human tribute." Homura chuckled, her perverse plans exposing themselves through her tone, "After all, I am quite sure they would much rather sacrifice a few rather than an entire population."
"However, before any of that can be done, I will need that... language spell you use. I have no idea if I will be able to harness such a powerful spell myself, but it would certainly help if you could cast it on me."
(I'm so sorry I vanished for a few days--- Age of Empires 2 took my life over-)
Student and Teacher ((@cutelittlevillain))
Keldor chuckled, and waved his hand, casually transforming Homura’s pistol into solid glass. It was rather pretty now, but thoroughly useless as a weapon.
"You continue to do me proud, my dear pupil, though I must admit I am pained that you do not recognize your dear teacher. Though I suppose the last time we spoke, I didn’t have my face on. Hahaha!"
"Now then, dear…how have your efforts been going? I have been checking in on you now and then, and I must say, I like what I’ve seen so far."
Well, this was the old man alright. Despite having interacted with him before, Homura had never actually seen what kind of powers he have, so seeing a gun made out of metal suddenly turn into glass was certainly a shocking wonder to behold. Then again, seeing the skeleton's original face was just as shocking. She couldn't think of any way a set of bones could regenerate its flesh, but then again, if it's magic, he doesn't have to explain anything.
"I have successfully done a huge number on Japan and its major cities, and am now planning my next invasion. I am going to strike South Korea, and I am going to make my entrance right in their capital. If I can destroy their capital, I can easily demoralize their people. This is the tower I am going to be blowing up." The villain pointed to the blueprints, marked in both Japanese and Korean. "Oh, and in addition to that, I've been trying to learn some Korean with resources I could find. If I am going to strike fear into foreigners, I'm going to need to speak their tongue."
Student and Teacher ((@cutelittlevillain))
Despite his attention being taken up by the myriad conflicts he was involved in, Skeletor had kept a figurative eye on the young, aspiring villain he had encountered. The girl had followed his advice well, and since there was a lull in the frenzy of activity that had been surrounding him, the sorcerer decided to pay her a visit. It would be an opportunity to both provide her some one-on-one tutoring, as well as to ensure her loyalties remained in the correct place. And, if he was being completely honest with himself, a chance to flaunt his newly (albeit temporarily) restored face.
After a quick scrying spell confirmed her location, he appeared rather abruptly in her living room, reclining on a chair opposite her own. She appeared to be in the process of going over the blueprints of a building.
"My, my…ever diligent in your planning, I see. You have been doing a fine job taking my lessons to heart, my dear. You’ve made your teacher proud."
The aspiring villain was just marking on the blueprint from where she would place what bomb on the Jongno Tower when she was surprised by an imposing visitor. A rather large man in a rather unusual attire and some kind of magic that allowed him to enter her residency without her noticing.
His voice and the way he talked sounded rather familiar, but Homura wasn't taking any chances. Until she can confirm the identity of this intruder, she was not going to let up.
Pointing a pistol right at the man's face, she asked in a rather cold monotone, "Identify yourself, intruder. You only have one chance."
{A Game of Cycles } - :The Villain's Deput:
Time.
Shisho could feel the universe bend around him as the innumerable temporal chains drew tight around him., trying to make him pause, trying to make him slow and sluggish. But he would not be having that… Oh no. Missles here… Missles there. Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock. He leaned forward, feeling the temporal chains hold fast as they struggled to find a way to wrap around him and keep him held tight… But they couldn’t. This wasn’t the same temporal loop that had held him so long ago. For all it was concerned, he was beyond the inescapable hands of father time and mother earth, the black ooze covering his skin like a slick against the ever-turning hands of a clock.
When the missles approached him, he batted one away, sending it careening into the far-off beyond, and the other straight up, exploding above. …Tch.
He was enveloped in an explosion as he carelessly struck one downwards into the ground, surrounding him in smoke and ash, the other missles passing harmlessly through the veil of flame and exploding… Further cloaking him in mystery. Homura didn’t have to wait long though, as he exploded from the crater, arms out and rubble raining down around him. His hood fell back, revealing a single gleaming red eye and a wide, horrifying grin against a body made of a thick, tar-like material, arms coated in terrifying hand-made weaponry of barbaric construction, each finger decorated with a foot-long knife and inches of steel and leather, all blowing in the hot wind of flame and smoke as it circled around him.
“HAHAHAHAHA! I LOVE IT!" He screamed, his mouth open wide to reveal the many intricate rows of teeth inside… 3 different jaws all operating as one. He closed his large mouth and lowered one arm, keeping the other raised to examine the gruesome knives on the end of his hand. "… You really think that’s enough to stop me? Come now." He walked slowly forward, his heels resuming the clicking against the crackle of flame and the silent roar of hot wind.
Click. Click. Click.
If he had been hurt at all by the attack, it showed very little, perhaps only fatiguing him slightly, as he walked forward, arm up, knives slowly touching one another in a rythmic harmony with the click of the bony heels of his shoes. Cling-Cling-Cling…
"Villains must be strong, dear. Do not expect all of your enemies to be the same, for some of us, time functions much differently. I cannot control it, yet it does not control me either. Two ends of the same spectrum you see." He paused a few yards away from her, letting his arm drop limply as he leaned back casually, grin ever-present and unwavering as hi single eye stared at her from underneath black, dripping, bangs. "Today you’ll learn the most important lesson of all. Might does not make right.” In an instant he was upon her, his foul aura threatening to smother her as his clawed knife hands inched closer to her face, and time seemed to slow, the body reacting in reflex to how terrifyingly fast Shisho was. His breath was hot, and foul, and rich with the stench of rotting meat and burning rubber.
What...just what was this monster? Why could it resist her time magic? No one else has ever done that before. While it did seem to...somewhat slow him down, it certainly didn't stop him from deflecting her attacks. Time magic has always been the one thing that made Homura unstoppable, but now that it's no longer as effective as it should be, what was she going to do? This was the first time her power has been challenged like that, and she was at a loss.
To make it even worse, her adversary's appearance was absolutely monstrous. The villain had never seen such a nightmarish creature before, not even in her worst nightmares. No amount of her scientific ingenuity, her wildest imagination, or her most twisted cravings could conjure up anything like this. Something so grotesque, so demonic, so foul...
Foul. That's when Homura realized just how close he was. She was so caught up in bewilderment that she hadn't realize just how close Shisho had come to decapitating her until she realized the stench was from his breath.
The villain did her best to duck and roll out of the way, but it was a tad too slow. She felt a sharp cut fly across her cheek, right under her left eye, and a lock of her hair being pulled just before it disconnected, being snagged on the blades. The cut was a bit deeper than she would have liked, and was beginning to bleed. She couldn't let it distract her, though, so as soon as she got back on her feet, she wiped the blood away with her sleeve. It didn't stop the bleeding, though.
Well, she evaded a powerful strike, but that was far too close. Homura still didn't know how she could fight this foe, but she knew that she needed time. Time and distance. She pulled out a semiautomatic assault rifle, paused the time, leaped backwards, and began rapidly firing at her target in hopes of slowing him down. If the aspiring villain doesn't buy herself enough time and put enough distance between them, she's not going to be able to come up with a way to defeat this monster.
You and him would go well together. He finds joy in killing, and blood, just like you do.
"I-I do not…!"
"I’m pretty sure they were talking to me."
*Tickles your sides*
"H-Hey! Hands off! Don’t you dare do that!"
Ever heard about kuroha?
"Err, am I supposed to…? Who would that be?"
{A Game of Cycles } - :The Villain's Deput:
"How quaint." Came Shisho’s reply, keeping his sweatshirt wrapped tightly around him, and raising a finger to draw down his face-mask, revealing a devilish grin midst the darkness that seemed to surround him. "Before we begin… You and I are not so different you know. Forced to fight midst the ruins of a dying world… Repeating the same process over and over… Except my purpose has always been about keeping my everlasting cycle going… Whereas you’ve been struggling to find a way out." A shrug.
"But it doesn’t matter. You’re ursurping the natural order of things around here. And if that means I have to turn you into a greasy smear on the side of a building, then: So be it." He raised his palms up, revealing gloves with runic scars criss-crossing the palms.
“The Cycle draws once more to a close. The question remains who will stand the victor.”
A Digital Billboard appeared between them, raising up high above their heads.
"A Puella Magi has challenged the Inheritor." Came the digitized voice. "A Game of Cycles has begun. Who will stand the victor?" Repetition of the same line, over and over… Cycles… Cycles, Cycles… It was a metaphor in and of itself. Repetition of the same method and words. Like an eternal circle.
“This is my world, Girlie. You’re not welcome here with all you’ve done. Time to end your struggles once and for all.”
Who...? Just who was this strange challenger? The villain had never heard of such a being before. Then again, it could be because she never really lived as a magical girl outside of that city during that month, but still. Someone that important should have been known, right...? Well, whatever the case may be, there was no time to waste: Homura had to take on her first major obstacle to becoming a true villain.
What he said was rather worrying, though. He has the same experience...? Did that really mean that he has time powers as well? If that's the case, then Homura's in trouble. But nevertheless, she has to try, right? There was no backing down at this point.
"Hmph. Well, you certainly seem prepared enough, worm. But no matter what, I will destroy you and your pathetic toys. And I am NOT going easy on you."
With that, she cranked her buckler to pause the time, and proceeded to start out with her usual move: darting around rapidly while firing missiles at the target. If the villain was to make an impression, this would be an ideal one.
Her name is sakuya izayoi
"Sakuya Izayoi…? That’s…an interesting name…"
