“The image above is the concept art for Hakuryuu from the Kou Empire arc. I drew him with an atmosphere around him that contrasts with Alibaba’s. However, soon after they met in volume 26 they battled in their djinn equip, so the whole thing feels meaningless.

We entered a new arc last week. I enjoyed drawing Alibaba who had appeared in his human form after a long time, also Yunan, who I hadn’t got the chance to color since working on his pikkuri sticker.”

Note: the fonts were so small, so I’m not sure I got everything right. On the right shoulder piece, I read it as ‘kore ga kinzokuki=this is a metal vessel’, when it’s actually the left piece that is the metal vessel, so I’m not too sure about it. Feel free to correct me.

About Mochizuki Jun’s new manga, Vanitas no Carte

You may have heard by now, but… MochiJun’s new manga was announced to start publishing in Gangan Joker starting December 22. We are super excited to start scanlating this! :D

However, we need your help to buy raws! 

We would like to start as soon as possible, but that means paying a lot extra to buy the magazine every month, rather than waiting to buy the volumes when they come out. Since our old PH scanner is no longer in Japan, we need to look for third party options. After asking around, it looks like we would have to pay 15 euro (16-17 USD) per magazine from a reliable third party scanner. (I will update again if I can verify a cheaper option.)

Please donate towards this new manga! We are hoping to raise $50 by mid-December, so that we do not have to worry about funds for the first three months. Each and every bit helps. Thanks again for supporting us!!
