At first, she had been worried that she was too heavy for the tiger to carry her, that he would get tired. But sleepiness had long overridden her worries, as she rested her head between his shoulders, leaned forward. Still, she didn’t want to sleep yet; it probably wasn’t safe out on the streets, even with the tiger as her protector. So she had to wait until they reached somewhere safer.
Feeling the tiger come to a stop, the little girl opens her eyes and squints. It’s dark, but if she remembered correctly, there was a park nearby… and parks were perfect places to sleep, at least according to Emi. Lazily, she takes a handful of fur and gently tugs in the direction of the park.
“Go that way,” she murmurs, closing her eyes and drifting back off into half-consciousness.
The pads of his paws throb with an unusual soreness that The Culprit doesn’t usually associate with fatigue, causing him to stop in his tracks a moment. Briefly, his claws unsheathe to dig ever so slightly into the pavement beneath and he stretches, careful to not let his current passenger slip off from the movement. Hm… it didn’t feel like he’d stepped on anything. How odd…
He shifts his head to look back at the sensation of his shoulder fur being bunched up and chuffs. It isn’t safe out here for him, much less his temporary charge— The Culprit can find out the cause of discomfort later.
Eyes of gold flicker like a flame floating in this night sky. There seems to be some foliage and trees up ahead— a park? How many of those existed on this island? Or perhaps it was one huge one simply obscured by the design of this Branch… Add another thing to the list of things that required additional exploration with regards to this island, he supposes.
GOT it, got it. YA let me know’f this gets too uncomfortable though, awright? … A throw rug’s no good’f ya can’ get a feel fer it.
Thump, thump, thump go his paws as he continues on, though slower than his previous pace. The Culprit still wants to get a feel for this odd ailment…
