Was it possible, to walk through this building without having someone practically charge into her? She’d assumed someone who looked so dishevelled would try to avoid her, to get out of her way. To have them practically fly into her, knocking her down; to dare to rest their head upon her, was unimaginable. To blame her for it, too? Oh, she hardly cared who heard her. It wasn’t as if the onlookers were close enough to get all her words; her tone, perhaps, but little more. How fun. ”No, that’s what I’m meant to say to you. Your line’s something different.” Leaning backwards, away from the unwelcome contact, her voice would drip with sweetness; why act angered, when it was so much more fun to at least sound nice? Wouldn’t it sound like she was comforting him, even if he’d fallen on her, to anyone not close enough to hear her low murmur? ”Something more like ’ Oh, Miss, I’m terribly sorry that my idiocy has inconvenienced you, and that I’ve had the audacity to try and make you take the blame’. That would almost do, for a start.”
"Or, maybe, should I cry out for help? It’s such a bad look, you running into me like that, isn’t it.”
To think she would have the gall to say such things to him; he's almost offended. He shifts, straightening up, but showing no indication he'd opt to leave in lieu of seeking out an apology he would likely never receive. This was all perfectly logical to him, considering how outwardly arrogant he was. Had this occurrence been set in his homeland, the party he had accused would likely never had been so impertinent. In spite of that, it seemed she wouldn't simply go along with it.
❝ If you choose to do such a thing I'll have no choice but to silence you myself. ❞ Seeing as she didn't even appear to have a weapon on her, the threat was empty. It didn't help that his words were spoken in something akin to a lethargic drawl given his circumstance either. ❝ But that would be a pain, considering you still haven't apologized, maggot. ❞
❝ I'll even compromise. If you acknowledge this mishap was your doing, I'll acknowledge I may be at fault as well. ❞ The thought of potentially being in a more troublesome situation serves to make him a little more lenient; still choosing to take a bit of a cautious approach to every aspect of this exasperating environment, even as infuriating as it was to even consider bargaining with her.
