What fabrics did you use to make your yellow, blue, and white outfit? The slashing is stunning and I can tell the top is wool or at least a blend. But the hosiery are INCREDIBLY well put together, is the material also wool?
Hi, thank you so much ! Both the top and hosen are made in the same medium weight pure wool twill. I bought the same fabric in 3 colours (I believe it was this one from the swedish store Korps) and I also found a lightweight linen in a similar shade of blue for facings and the undersleeves. For the hosen the wool is cut on the bias for some extra stretch ; admittedly this was the more challenging piece especially with the fitted stripes ! I left the edges raw on the slashed sleeves as that was what seemed closest to my references, and for a good while it looked great, but after a few years an several events in various weathers, it did start to fray. I will have to choose a way to finish those edges if I want to wear it again eventually.
