Shadowrunner anon- a shadowrunner is basically a modern day freelancer merc, you need a mission done, they will try to do it for a price, there are deckers i.e hackers, shamans, street ninjas etc. They can be orcs, ogres, elves, dwarves, humans, and the like. ITS FRAGGING CRAZY MAN!

Oh! That sounds sort of like my world, actually. 

What is this “shadowrunner” world like, anyways? I’d hazard a guess that it’s not too dissimilar from mine.

Tell me, have you ever wanted to actually do something about it? All the corruption and whatnot else? I know from personal experience that it's hard to ignore. But, let me guess, even going near the rebels gets you several punishments and a target on your back? That's usually how these things go.

The rebel movement here in Paradise City is actually quite well hidden. I don’t know anyone who’s a part of it.

However, their goals have been transparently declared as improving the quality of life for everyone and overhauling the current societal infrastructure. As for me, I’m looking for something on my own that’ll achieve that.

Our political system is already pretty badly corrupt, so a dragon running for president wouldn’t make it much worse. What’s a “shadowrunner”, though?

What party tricks do you do with the D20?

I can sort of toss the D20 in such a way that it’ll land on the number I want. Granted, it tends to fail many times, but it’s more reliable than naively rolling the die.

It’s also why I’m banned from tabletop games.

Oh. Well that explains it! Evidently your world is a cyberpunk dystopia. From what I've seen, there's usually a resistance movement in most of those, but I'm getting off topic. Um, though it's probably a touchy subject, could you tell us about the Blossom racism? If we're going to be speaking to people here I'd prefer not to accidentally call someone a racial slur by accident due to different word meanings.

There’s probably very definitely an underground resistance movement right here in Paradise City, but I’ve never had direct contact with it.

As for the blossom racism, they’ve been negatively stereotyped as sexually promiscuous and dispensable because there’s so many of them compared to other shapes. Many of them don’t really seem to care, but it’s better to be safe.

In your opinion, are there any problems with your world? Y'know, despite the fact that some pink shapes can... disappear? Though it's terrible to say, worlds that become the focus of the askverse have some conflict within them.

Blossoms make up roughly 50% of the world’s population, though the majority of blossom folks live on the continent of Tarasia. There’s a lot of negative racial stereotypes spread about them that I won’t go into further, unless you want to know. 

Other than that, there’s the fact that far too many shapes in the city where I live are below the poverty line. Luxuries such as augmentations and AI are generally reserved for the upper and upper-middle class, which only exacerbates the divide.
