Cybertronian Alterhumans
In case you didn’t know, this isn’t just a group for cybertronian‘kin. We aren’t called Cybertronian Connection for nothing! Our group stands as the most inclusive and resourceful for many kinds of Cybertronian identifiers. Though.. some people don’t realize how many kinds there are, and we’re more than happy to explain! Otherkin or commonly kin shorthand tends to take the spotlight, but that's unfair to other experiences like Copinglinks, Otherlinks, and even Fictives. These are all equally valid experiences within the alterhuman collective, and help us describe our unique experiences! A little bit about each experience: Otherkin - Someone who involuntarily identifies as nonhuman on an non-physical and integral level. This is commonly referred to as someone’s true self, or as who/what they see as an internal self image in mind or in spirit. Copinglink - Someone who identifies as nonhuman as a choice in coping. They choose an identity that makes them feel safe or comforted, or strong enough to help them cope with trauma or other factors. Otherlink - Someone who voluntarily chooses an identity for any reason. An aesthetic, a personality match up, you name it! Fictive - A member of a plural or multiple system who identifies as a fictional character. Its important to understand the differences of the unique community we find ourselves in today. Knowing these terms and what they mean helps us to identify our experience and understand one another. :) -Mod Starscream
