Change the Gun Laws Florida! Protect Kids!

A 18yr. old should not be able to get a AR-15 or any automatic weapon, the gun laws in Florida are terrible, and puts everyone in danger. They need changed to help protect the innocent who should not have to die due to legislators failure to act to update the law.

Make Trump a One Term President!

How can he be so deceitful to not enforce the Russian sanctions when he said on Twitter himself that Russia influenced the 2016 Presidential election and it was Anti-US? It makes me question his own loyalty to the country, our country the U.S.A.

Cassidy-Graham bill would cut funding to 34 states, new report shows

The analysis by Avalere Health, a Washington-based health policy consulting firm, forecasts that federal money devoted to Medicaid and private insurance subsidies would shrink by $215 billion between 2020, when the plan would begin, and 2026, the last year money is provided in the Cassidy-Graham bill. Among states, the analysis shows, the greatest erosion of aid would occur in those that have had the greatest insurance gains under the ACA by expanding their Medicaid programs.

States with relatively low medical costs, skimpy Medicaid benefits and no program expansion would win out. Texas would gain more than any state — $35 billion from 2020 through 2026.

On the other hand, states with higher-priced medicine and generous benefits for their low-income residents — such as California and New York — would lose billions of dollars.

In other words, Graham-Cassidy is designed to fuck over the blue and purple states, and the few red states that went along with the ACA.

Kimmel, not Cassidy, is right on health care, analysts say

In the war of words between Jimmy Kimmel and Sen. Bill Cassidy, the late-night host has the better grasp of health policy, health care analysts say.

Kimmel — who had allied himself with Cassidy after the senator famously proposed a “Jimmy Kimmel test” for health reform — blasted the Louisiana Republican’s last-ditch Obamacare repeal-and-replace bill in a seven-minute monologue on Tuesday night. While Cassidy had pledged to protect people with pre-existing conditions like Kimmel’s infant son, who was born with a serious heart condition, the proposal Cassidy co-authored with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) wouldn’t live up to those promises, Kimmel said.

“This guy, Bill Cassidy, he just lied right to my face,” Kimmel said.

He then listed four pledges that Cassidy made when he appeared on Kimmel’s show in May, including a promise to lower health costs for Americans and to oppose insurance companies’ lifetime caps on coverage that Kimmel said would no longer be guaranteed under the new legislation.

“Health care’s complicated [and] it’s boring; I don’t want to talk about it [and] the details are confusing,” Kimmel said in his monologue. “And that’s what these guys are relying on. … They’re taking care of the people who give them money, like insurance companies.”

The GOP’s on the verge of passing a bill that will phase out Medicaid in its entirety

The new Trumpcare legislation — often referred to as “Graham-Cassidy” after Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA), its leading proponents — contains several provisions undercutting the Affordable Care Act. It eliminates subsidies helping many millions of Americans purchase health insurance on the Obamacare exchanges and Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion, replacing this funding with a less generous block grant to states.“  - Think Progress
