Love, indeed, is not enough.

Shall one accept defeat or keep up the fight on the expense of one's dignity and self-respect?

Interfere and try to defend love? Or let things run its course?

Things will run its course eventually no matter what you do though.

I feel this is almost as heavy as death. Maybe even heavier. I choose death over feeling it.
