hello & welcome to daemonism-culture-is! since we haven't seen any (blank)-culture-is blogs focusing on daemonism, we figured it might be fun to make our own (and possibly encourage some more activity in the daemonism tag)!

feel free to submit anything you'd like - "dae culture is __" may be the main focus of this blog, but you can send in anything as long as it relates to daemonism in some way, for example you can submit questions about daemonism, your experiences, a funny conversation between you and your dae, etc.! (when submitting culture you can be more specific if you'd like, for example "daemon culture is ...", "plural daemian culture is ...", "multidae culture is ...", etc.)

please keep in mind before interacting, we are accepting of all good-faith identities & all types and origins of plurality. this blog is mostly for fun, so we will try to avoid discourse.

introjected dae culture is being happy that there's a daemonism community here, but sad because it all works differently.

I mean, of course it works differently, daemons aren't inherent here, but its still lonely to be (apparently) the only ones like us.

I'm not an imaginary friend, or a part of my person's consciousness, I am her Literal Actual Soul. I wouldn't change that for the world, but I wish it wasn't so isolating.

new dæmian culture is not having the energy yet to figure out the species/appearance or name of my dæmon yet, so it's a generic, genderless black wolf named [null] until further notice

So, I have a question, I'm a new dæmian and was wondering, can a dæmon "front" or "co-front"? (kinda like headmates/alters can do in a system)

I was asking because I've seen people say that they can and people that say that they can't, so I'm confused

i remember this being in the daemon page's faq, let me grab the quote from there for you.

"Communicating with a dæmon doesn’t mean that they will automatically be able to front either, that is, take control over your body. Some dæmons can do that with dæmian’s agreement, but it’s not typical, and definitely not required."

personally, Bluebird does not front; it simply doesn't interest us currently, though i know if it did we would be able to work on switching. also, i remember seeing at least one person some years ago on discord who was able to have their daemon front.

so in short, yes a daemon definitely CAN front, it isn't impossible or unheard of, just uncommon.
