Blaine’s idea made sense, a lot of sense. Instead of hiding out in the open of the athletic fields, Hunter was probably hiding out in the building that housed the pool- if temporarily. Sebastian found an open door and went into the building, listening for sounds. It was that time of night when most buildings on campus where shutting down for the night, so it was unsurprising that the building was mostly empty. Sebastian headed for the pool, when he suddenly heard footsteps. He picked up his pace and headed in that direction, not surprised when he heard the footsteps also pick up their pace, heading to the locker rooms. He pulled out his phone and quickly texted Blaine, just Blaine.
Sebastain: Pool, locker rooms. I think it’s him.
Sebastian headed into the locker rooms, listening quietly for sounds of movement. “Hunter,” he called out. “Hunt, come on. Come talk to me. We can go back to the room. Turn out the lights, like we always do and talk.”

Hunter had been walking around the pool, fuming, considering a swim even though he would have no towel for afterwards. Then he heard the outer door open to the pool and steps in the entryway. It could be Dalton staff, but it was probably Sebastian. There was only one way out of the building, unfortunately, so Hunter’s only choice was to head to the locker room. He skirted over there as quietly as he could heading for the back. He wished he could hide in a locker, but the sound of the metal doors opening would give him away. Instead, he found a closet that turned out to be where the towels were. They weren’t locked up, as he’d assumed. If Sebastian would leave, maybe he could get that swim in, after all. He just needed some time, for the Warblers to calm down and give up resisting.
He waited, barely breathing, for the sounds of Sebastian giving up and leaving. He heard the footsteps come closer, and then Sebastian spoke. He sounded so condescending that Hunter could barely stand it, it made him want to leap out of the closet and throttle his roommate. But he steeled himself to just wait.
