i've just personally decided that im going to take a hiatus from sh. there are several reasons as to why im taking it, but i haven't really been active anyways with work and school so i guess that's just the core of all of it. all i ask is that varenth be assumed to be running fine and normally etc etc and if you have any questions/concerns of things you want to do in the district you ask me first.

As of now, I think it would be best to refer to them as District Witches then. So that there is a definite separation between what virulence The Laughing Wolf created and whatever other kinds of witches are other there.

Of course not, but it would do a great deal in keeping relations with citizens, and, potentially other districts, the way they are.

Of course not. There is a fine line between citizens being forced into roles and creatures the district has created as a side effect of the previous leader’s powers.

Enchanted items and spells are targeted because it is difficult to run a stable society when a poor man could be made rich by a tablecloth alone. Or when a mirror can apparently predict the future, or when gold can be created from a tree. Try running a stable economy when everything can make a poor man rich.

The district creates creatures. It creates brown wolves that eat people and ravens that peck out eyes. It also creates an assortment of characters. These aren’t true creations. They’re approximations of limited roles. They have the semblance of a human, but their own goal in life is to consume their prey. And their prey, more often than not, are humans or children.

So it’s a choice. Either I let these dangerous creatures run free. Or I hunt them down to protect my citizens. My guards are given the choice on whether or not to execute the dangerous. As for citizens that were forced into fairytale roles or choose to practice fairytale rituals on their own, they are free to do as they please as long as they do not do anything against the Crown.

Take into consideration that not all the people here follow the blog of your district affairs being they are not in your district. While it does fall on them as the ones who are ill-informed, thorough clarification does not take much time and is most likely a smart thing to do seeing as most of us know little of the old fairy tale district considering we stayed away from it, and with good reason.

My former statements are, as of now, redacted. It would be appreciated if you could find more specific terms for when you speak of your witches and wizards, however.

Answer me this, then. Does that mean that those who have been stuck into fairy tale roles and forced against their will to take on such practices fall under the category of those you wish dead. And for you to claim that there is a bounty on enchanted items or on spell books and scriptures is quite specific in the sense that it also seems it would target anyone without ill intentions.

What you fail to understand is that The Distillery is only hunting down what virulent and mindless pests The Laughing Wolf created. As for my citizens practicing magic, I could care less about them.

Since it seems to be so important for the The Distillery to ostracize magical beings, Varenth will no longer consider dealings of any kinds them. Being that I myself and a dragon and my second in command is a witch we do not appreciate the new protocol set there.

Contrary to popular belief, it is possible for me to care and wish well for certain people, Corrina being one of those people. I should think that is obvious by how I care for my people and my family.

That aside, there is and will not be any throne stealing. Corrina is here because I chose for her to be here, and the throne will only be passed to whomever I choose to pass it to.
