YESSSSS Watch Dance Moms’ Maddie Ziegler kill it and inspire everyone in this new Capezio campaign video! #BeYou #DanceInYou
So I am 14 and I really enjoy the art of ballet. It's so amazing and I never have been in any dance class before because my mom just does not have the money. I love to dance in my living room to hip hop though, but I really want to learn ballet. So my questions are: 1. Do you have to be flexible to do ballet? I'm not super flexible, I am 3 inches from the ground for splits and my right leg is way more flexible than my left. 2. Can I still do ballet considering my age and my scoliosis?
First and foremost, because of your scoliosis, it is very important that you talk to your doctor first before starting ballet.
Age is just a number, and ballet can be enjoyed by any person at any skill level. Check with your local studio to find the class that will fit you the best. It is okay if you are not flexible in the beginning. Ballet will make you flexible the more you practice.
Best of luck!
What are other good dance blogs? I love yours btw
Thank you so much!
I don’t know much about other blogs, but some of my other followers might?
Please comment if you have any dance blog recommendations!

I'm 16 and I don't dance ballet since 2009. My dream is to dance The Nutcracker but I'm afraid I'm too old to begin ballet again.
You’re not too old at all! Check out the studios around your area and tell them your situation. They will try to put you in a class that fits you the best. Ask if they offer free trial classes so you can try it out again and you can see if you enjoy their classes!

I really love dance!! I danced from the age of 3 to 7 then stopped till two years ago but I'm back better than ever and I'm proud of myself I do tap contempary Jazz and hip hop but I am a tap dancer at heart 😅sorry I'll get on with it ha! do you think that just because someone is a little bit bigger than others can make them a bad dancer? because when I was little my old teacher used to put me up the back and take me off stage because I was chubby ( I was 3) and it killed my self esteem😭
Absolutely not! Dancers can come in any shape and size. I think it’s always been drilled in our minds that the perfect dancer is perfectly skinny. This is not the case. You need passion, dedication, strength and ability, and all of these can be achieved no matter what the size! You are a beautiful dancer and don’t forget it, and I wish you the best of luck!
