Moving Mishap

hmm. he shot her a curious glance out of the corner of his eye. there seemed to be more to the story than she let on, but â no, he shouldnât pry. he barely even knew her, after all. instead he simply shot her an understanding smile, giving a firm nod.
â ah, same as me, then! â sort of. but she didnât need to know that nana had to practically force him out of the house in order to do so. â itâs a pretty nice city, i hope you like it here! do you already have a job lined up? if not, i know the baycourt center is always hiring ⊠â
he murmured a quiet thank you as she placed his cup before him, raising it to his lips without a moment of hesitation.
â â oh! this is really good! â
âI wouldnât come here if I didnât.â
This wasnât exactly her dream city, her new job was the only thing that tied her to it. And even that was too much. Selena had known years ago that she wanted to leave her home island, but this wasnât where she thought she would have ended up after her tour. It was a little... underwhelming.Â
âIâm still learning my way, so weâll see how nice it is then, hm?â
Selena smiled and took a seat on the loveseat across from where he was -- furniture being the only thing set up in the apartment. She was too classy to not have that out at minimum.Â
âThank you. Itâs one of my favorites.â
So, he had good taste.
