Spring, «η Άνοιξη» (i ánixi), comes from the verb «ανοίγω» (anígho) which means “to open”, signifying the opening. Longer daytime, rebirth and regrowth of nature.
In the greek mythology Persephone ( daughter of Demeter and Zeus) can leave for the half of the year hell and go back home .So everything blooms. But after this time she has to go back to Hades again . Fall starts.
