So I go out to have a cigarette during the last part of the second act and as I walk out, I see Daniel Johnston walking out a different exit a couple feet away. One: I nearly cried just seeing him And two: I had no idea what to say,

How could I fit into words how he has impacted my life with not only his music, but his life story? How could I tell him he probably saved my life without even knowing it? Last year I was diagnosed with Manic Depression and I felt so alone until I heard his songs and learned about what he went through. I walked up to him and told him he was my hero and I thanked him for everything he is and has ever done and he told me to come visit him in Waller, Texas sometime. I hugged him and cried. He will always be such an inspiration to me and I don’t know where I would be without him.

Tonight was probably the best night of my life.

I was alone in my life with little to live for trying my hand at art thinking that maybe i could save myself but in my desperations all my hope would fly away until there awas nothing left for me nothing left to say and in this nightmare there was a drea of a girl so beautiful beyond compare the girl of my dreams so wonderful so beautiful and i had her boots this as so long ago in my idylistic dream so many songs lorrie she inspired a thousand songs and then i knew i was an artist
