“the worst part might be going out in the street, they have good heaters in the rooms here so staying in you might not even feel the cold.” it was oslo after all, if they didn’t find a way to get people warm inside their own rooms they might not get tourists during winter at all. nobody could be that dumb. “too much of anything is bad, my friend.”

“i guess it’s a matter of costum. some people grow used to the cold, some don’t.” he didn’t mind it but if he had a choice he’d prefer to be at a warm place. not hot, warm. too much of anything is bad, exaggerated heat was just as torturous as freezing cold. “that’s wise. i have a feeling people with that much power don’t understand that even they have limitations.”

Josefina understood the pain, maybe not to the extent of thinking she’d broken a bone from a child’s toy. But she couldn’t deny her own dramatics. “I understand that pain. It could always be a possibility,” she replied. “I’ve fallen victim to stepping on my daughter’s toys all too much,” she joked with a laugh passing her lips. 

            HE  WINCES  ,  HER  WORDS  NOT  exactly  doing  a  lot  to  reassure  him  .  the  last  time  he    broke    a  bone  he  ended  up  stuck  sitting  down  for    two  months    .    ❛    thank  you  .  that  makes  me  feel  a  lot  better  .    ❜    he    laughs    .    ❛    they’re  devils  ,  right    ?    i’m  almost  sure  they  do  it  on    purpose    .    ❜

“Someone is a bit dramatic, no?” She teased with a grin. “Oof… dolls are the worst. I say that as someone who is not a fan nor has ever been a fan of dolls.”

“I’m personally under the belief that no one is ever truly happy whether they have siblings or not. They always wish for the opposite of what they have. I know for myself that it would have been nice to grow up with someone around besides my parents who were often far too busy to deal with a child,” Cais admitted before her attention turned to the topic of his daughter. “Aren’t all young children often that dramatic?” She asked him curiously.

            ❛    AH  .  IF  I’M  HONEST  ,  I’D  say  i’m  rather  lucky  .  my  siblings  aren’t  half  as    annoying    as  i  hear  most  to  be  .  i  think  the  worst  thing  they  have    done    is  steal  my  favourite  cake  when  the  chefs  make  it  .  as  for    parents    ...  that’s  a  tricky  subject  .    ❜    it’s  a  tragedy  ,  but  he’s  somehow  come    out    of  it  smiling  .    ❛    i  suppose  .  but  if  there  was  an  award  ,  she’d    for  sure    win  it  .    ❜

“Yet I would argue that you’re the lucky one,” Cais had always been envious of those with siblings. She wanted the built in best friend and partner in crime that came with having a sibling even with the arguments. It wouldn’t hurt though to have someone else to take her parents’ attention even for just a little bit. “How old is she?” She asked in complete amusement. She couldn’t relate considering how hands off her father had been.

“not a big fan of the freezing-your-nuts cold?” leon just pretends to be shocked — nobody really liked that much cold, they got used to it — and for a moment forgets he’s speaking to a king and that wasn’t the right way to do it but he’d only apologize if the man showed any bad reaction. “learning with our mistakes? the mankind? powerful people? scientifically impossible.”

“Probably… I mean technically it’s possible to break your foot on anything.” She ppaused. “What kind of toy was it? I stepped on a lego once and it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt.”

“I wouldn’t have an idea,” Cais had admitted casually not realizing that she had answered someone she had overheard until the words had slipped out of her mouth. It was too late however as she slowly turned around in order to face the man. “I’m an only child and have never been around children, but I would figure with the small toys they tend to have it’s pretty common to have injuries thanks to the small plastics bits.”

“it’s gonna take a little while until that happens.” temperatures were still positive even if not warm though being that close to the water made the place windy and feeling colder than it really was. “is this your way of avoiding saying something compromising?” leon jokes with a short laugh following. “when has politics not been a mess? history books exist to show us that.”
